    One day here was enough.
One day eating here was more than enough. we recently got back from this hotel and it was one of the worst experiences of my life. Avoid this hotel at all costs. We arrived here quite late in the day and the problem started as soon as we walked through the hotel door. The hotel is massively overcrowded and the clientele are rude and have no understanding of queueing and being polite this is not only noticed by us as guests but by the staff as it was mentioned to us on many occasions. We was here for six days and had booked the all inclusive however, it was unknown to us that the all inclusive doesn’t include Wi-Fi, wine and many other drinks. When we went to one bar within the hotel they stated they didn’t have the ingredients for most of the cocktails. This bar also alleged to not allow children however there was three children in there at this time. The hotel allows smoking everywhere which as a non-smoker I find disgusting. The problems did not end there. There were three of us and our room lacked plug sockets. All of the plug sockets were hanging off the wall with wires sticking out and the plugs would barely go in. It was a real safety issue and I would recommend the hotel was shut down until repairs were made. The rooms are dirty and I believe potentially contain bedbugs. The room was cleaned daily however to a very poor standard with towels still dirty after the room being cleaned. We booked some excursions and we had to be at the dock which amazingly is at the hotel for 8 am however where you get your towels from it’s not open till 8 am and therefore we was not allowed to take any towels with us for a boat excursion even when we asked reception. There is always four members of staff behind the reception however everyone is always pointed in the direction of one man this leads to long queues. Some of the male members of staff are very flirtatious and don’t take no for an answer as 3 girls sometimes this was frustrating. The hotel has a beach club and one night whilst there we was approached by another guest, we told him no and then left to only then be followed by him, we managed to stop him from following us us anymore in which he called us crazy. I want to highly a few good things about the hotel although there is minimum : The al carte restaurants are bareable. Close to the marina with cheap taxis. Sea coming into the hotel like a pool. Boats straight from the hotel for excursions. View from our room was stunning.

    Great resort
Absolutely brilliant, I couldn’t fault the staff at all! The rooms are dated but clean… infact our entire stay all we saw were the staff cleaning. We had an issue with our air con, they were up in 10 minutes and fixed the issue. We used all 3 hotels and it was just amazing! We did an excursion to Orange bay which we highly recommend! Admittedly we our sceptical about food, we ate very little in the hotel but what we did eat was lovely. We were warned by staff not to eat the fish in the hotel. We ate at the Marina! Great place to visit for food and drinks. Sava cafe next door to the hotel was also great for coffees and steak. We visited as 3 women alone, we weren’t pestered at all in the hotel but outside we were! It’s a great resort in all. Ask for recommendations from staff, we felt they were honest and gave great advice. We are coming back next year! Thankyou to Ahmed (Sunny D) on the animation team. The magician life guard you were a great source of entertainment. The front desk staff at Mirette, they couldn’t do enough! We look forward to returning.

    Honest review
Honest review It’s a standard 3 star hotel people shouldn’t expect 5 star with a 3 star hotel price. I was very confused when arriving as I thought we were staying at the Palma hotel. I didn’t realise that the resorts consist of 3 hotels and you had use of all of them. The mirette didn’t have much going on and we used Palma for most things. It is located on a busy road so please take care when crossing especially if you have children and they don’t really seem to stop. On arrival the receptionist was very slow and kept serving other guest whilst checking us in so it took a bit longer than it should have. I also found their English to be pretty poor and I know they didn’t really understand what I was saying. They also didn’t give us any information on where things were we found this out through the hospitality staff. Rooms are standard they could do with a really good dusting as they were very dusty and could do with a deep clean like washing the curtains and the nets. The room was not secure as the window was broken so anyone could have walked in at anytime and also the balcony doors didn’t lock but we never had any problems with someone entering our room. My nieces fridge definitely needed upgrading. The rooms were cleaned everyday with fresh towel and the cleaners seemed very pleasant The hospitality stuff worked very hard and were grateful for anything that we left as a tip. They really went out of their way to serve you. The food wasn’t awful but pretty much the same most days but we could always find something to eat. We all developed upset stomachs and still don’t know what caused it but when I went to the pharmacy they advised us it completely normall for English people to get upset stomach’s in Egypt. This put a bit of a downer on the holiday as we had lots of trips booked and constantly had stomach aches. I booked all of our trips through get my guide as it was easy and the price is so much cheaper than what any of the hotel staff can offer you. Please do not book with the holiday rep as you will pay a lot more. The holiday rep will text you the same day you arrive wanting to meet with you in the morning and advise you not to book with anyone else. They also give you a nice tip of not to drink the water. This will make you think they are looking out for your best interests but really they just want you too book the trips for high prices. Please look online first. We never used the hotel WiFi or paid for any internet at the hotel as you can purchase SIM cards from the airport for a good price. We got 110GB for 13 euros the hotel will charge you a lot more. The beaches and pools are well kept and the kids really enjoyed the aqua park. The life guards on the beach will help you find seats and are very helpful. You will get people coming up to you trying to sell you trips , hair braids and massages but they are not pushy if you don’t want to purchase anything from them. We booked the fish restaurant and paid £60 for 6 people with drink included and this was absolutely amazing I would definitely recommend it. You get the use of 2 restaurants for free in the hotel. We booked the four corners restaurant and our chicken wasn’t cooked properly. It wasn’t a big problem though as we wasn’t paying for it. There is a snack bar which you can purchase burgers and chips for a reasonable price but be prepared to wait. We waited 45mins for 3 portions of chips. I was really dreading coming to this hotel after seeing a lot of the reviews but it definitely wasn’t as bad as some people were making it out to be and it definitely didn’t ruin my holiday it just needs a little TLC and just remember you get what you pay for. If you’re just looking to use the room as a base it will be fine for you but if you do want something lavish then book a 5*

Please avoid the 3 hotels as all the same.
Please arrange your visa before you leave uk!! We booked last minute so we were too late. On arrival it says everywhere visa $25.. we were charged $90 for 3 people. When I asked why they dismissed me. Arranged private taxi… hassle as we had to go find them. We paid £62 for taxi but it’s only about £3/4 if you pay direct or £2 if you get an Uber. On arrival at Sunny Days Resort & Spa there was a lady on the road who had been run over!!!! Drivers are awful!! Got checked in, had booked 2 rooms as son was 18… and omg!! They were awful!! There was tape on a glass shower door. Curtains and blinds were hanging off the wall. Mould and rust in toilets. We went straight away to reception and they moved us. Again… room was/is awful!!! Photos you see in website must be from 30 years ago when it was new. We arrived at 8pm so time we got sorted we tried for food!!! DISGUSTING!!! Tiny cheap plastic cups for drinks… bring your own!! 2 mouthful and they are done. Warm as no cola machine just bottles. No chips/fries!! Nothing catered for us brits. Breakfast was just as bad. No toast. Later found a machine in the restaurant upstairs but so many people waiting in a line. Coffee and juice is rank. Who has minced beef for breakfast 🤢. Brioche rolls/baps with a fried egg for 7 days. Sometimes at lunch there was chips/fries. I had those with a roll/bap with some gravy. Dinner.. I ate soup which was just watery liquid and 2 rolls/bap and a slice of dry cake. While writing this I have been approached at least 30 times for spa, beach safari, spa etc… Pool bar Blues Beach Bar serves warm drinks too. Breakfast and lunch same as day before… I will have gone down a dress size while here. Did the sky gazing trip. If you like adventure, long drives over bumpy road and have travel sickness this is for you. There is no candlelit dinner it is waiting in a queue for some rice and a bit of burnt chicken leg with a candle in and in a half a sofa bottle. Stars are lovely and you wait in a queue for a 30 second look through a telescope. Trip home in the dark was equally awful. Back at hotel had to wait until 11 for a snack. More burnt chicken. Tried pool outside our room today. Went for a cold drink… NONE unless you like diluting juice or warm cola from bottles. I complained to on the beach and after 3 days hotel manager called and asked what the problem was. Showed him the photos of our second room, how dirty and horrible it was. They sent a cleaner and promised to absolutely gut the room. They changed the door handles which had rusted to bits and cleaned with bleach but it was still awful. Shower and sink was cleaned with bleach but really did not help. Still serving warm cola from a bottle in most bars. If you want any decent meat then you need to go to bbq outside main restaurant over at Palacio hotel. Second last day I had to call as room had not been cleaned and we had no towel. Boy came to clean but again we had to call for towels. Had to borrow toilet roll from son in room next door. For the last 2 days both myself and my husband were fighting for the toilet as we just have eaten bad chicken from bbq. Last day checkout is 12. They arrived at 11 for our luggage. Told them no… too early. Anyway they cut the band off you and then you can’t get lunch even tho you are owed one!!!!! We had paid for private taxi back and they arrived promptly. Muhammad was a lovely guy. Asked if wee enjoyed our holiday and the 3 of us said NO. He said that hotel should be shut down and nobody has a nice time there. Now what does that tell you???? Anyway we are back home and for the first time ever I have been happy to leave a holiday. We spoke to others on holiday who had same experience and everyone had changed rooms. One family changed 4 times!!!
