The SAINT GEORGE GARDEN is in the traditional Saint George of Pagi village on the north part of Corfu, in an idyllic peaceful beach location on the coast of Corfu. The hotel is a new built palace with modern and design touches in the middle of gardens, olive groves and wild vegetation. The hotel offers two swimming pools (a normal and one small for children).

A lot of small issues , which can be easily sorted . Not a four star Hotel
This review is meant to be feedback rather than critical. My wife and I had a lovely holiday , the weather , locality and the friendliness of the people were wonderful. We went for one week all inclusive and the Hotel was lacking in small details which was frustrating as with little investment it could be wonderful. Firstly this is no 4 star Hotel !. Outside it looks impressive but facilities are iffy. When we arrived, late at night we were given a bottle of water and dried sandwiches, which we took to our room. There was no glasses nor cups in the Bedrooms. There were no glasses or containers to hold toothbrushes etc, and no shelf in bathroom. There was no shelf in the shower for shampoo etc and the shower was small and had a shower curtain which stuck to you no matter which way you turn !!! This was a double room which had three pillows in total. The corner of the Bed was a sharp edged leg bruiser. The food in the restaurant was decent and varied but cold. Just put a couple of microwaves around the area and problem solved ! The staff were cheerful and helpful. There is no permanent Bar in this hotel. The bar is located at the pool area while the pool is open , and then moves to a temporary area in the Hotel area. It has no real seating area and worst of all , flimsy plastic containers for drinks. There are no glasses outside of the restaurant area. The standard of drinks was poor with boxed wine in flimsy plastic containers !!!!!!! All this may seem picky to your readers but the cost of rectifying the issues would be small and greatly improve the guest experience. I note in previous reviews the same things keep coming up.

    SHAME
I will start by saying the Staff were absolutely superb, sadly that is the only good thing I can say. The first thing that hits you is the smell of sewage, then the stench of cigarettes. Once you pass the lovely Reception area, its all downhill. If you arrive late, there is literally nothing but stale tasteless sandwiches, the same ones that are served as snacks every single day. The whole place is tired and shabby/run down, clearly a case of serious underinvestment. The bottom of the pools were pretty dirty, and they were absolutely freezing , even after a day in the sun The rooms were teleported in from the 70s, no hot water on two different days, lost power on two occasions, bathroom fittings chrome peeling, shower too small and poorly maintained, and had to fix the basin myself, no bottled water or information in the room, unheard of before, and only available in cups from the restaurant, so backward, and sleep quality, well there was none :( The food was just awful, same thing everyday, pretty much everything was barely lukewarm, and clearly recycled, cooked breakfast takes a special prize for being foul tasting mush, the Ice cream was different flavours, but all tasted the same? oh and by the way, the dining areas fill up with cigarette smoke, no avoiding the inconsiderate! The alcohol, was not really alcohol, I barely drink, but I could drink the rum and vodka neat. The surrounding area was just as dirty, unkempt and run down, and the beach when you finally get there, is littered with rubbish and broken sunbeds. There was only one ray of sunshine, and sunset come to that, sitting in a little taverna along the beach, called Mythos Family Taverna, (we almost walked past as it is set back), restored my faith in Greek cuisine and cocktails, whilst watching the sun go down, fantastic, takes a little time to get served, but it well worth it, and it was so cheap, had to check with the owner that the bill was correct :) It was a great shame, I didn't take much notice of the previous bad reviews, wish I had now, you have been warned! PS, the mozzies will eat you alive :(

Pleasant Hotel BUT there are Pros and Cons - Depends what you are looking for.
This is a small Pleasant Hotel with no animation crowd bothering you. staff are very friendly especially in the Restaurant. 3 pools - one with waterslides. Short walk to a lovely sandy beach, a few minimarkets, Tavernas and water fun. Entertainment was on for 4 nights. BUT this should not be classed as a 4 star ( the €7.00 Per Night Tax kills it ) there was no tea/coffee facilities in your room. Poor shower - luke warm and no pressure. Sewage smell around. Drinks were wine and inclusive Cocktails(4) and Self Service beer. Food ok for us but some people would want more variation. practically no internet / WIFI connection. I would probably visit the resort of Agios Georgios Pagon but not stay at this hotel.

A beautiful location for the peace and quiet
Lovely hotel Beautiful grounds and varied food every day which was nice. We were all inclusive so was great for that. First impressions were not good with the young male staff member - but all other staff were very friendly and pleasant from that encounter. Evenings had a variety of events - from singers to dancers/ piano players to live music so something for everyone. Drinks were readily available and the bar man was very approachable. Staff overall were very efficient from restaurant to cleaners. Maybe more snacks available in between would have been good Shame that the pools were cold as really would have loved in swim- the sea down the road was warmer! Could never connect to the WiFi 🛜 which was a real shame especilally as WiFi was advertised and 5g wasn’t very good either due to rural location. We were bitten a lot by gnats every night in bed and the smell of sewage was terrible! We felt a bit out in the middle of nowhere which we hadn’t realised beforehand. The public buses were very few and the taxis were expensive to get into town if you did want to. I think more excursions from the hotel or more public transport would be really beneficial here as out in the sticks and it’s nice to explore the country as a whole. Overall a lovely trip away- just a few things to bear in mind for the next season

    Wonderful!
Very good hotel territorially, there are 2 pools and waterslides, we were lucky because our rooms had exits straight to the pool. The rooms are simple but very clean. The only wish would be to improve connection and wifi. I read a lot about the smell, it is there, but as much as we understood it's not the hotels fault, because the same smell was in the Corfu town, so we think it's just the island and it's not tragic. But the biggest advantage of this hotel is the staff, the barmen- Nikos and George, the cleaners, the receptionists. Having met the hotel manager it all made sense that this attitude goes down from them! Kostas you're amazing! Our team is sending special greetings to Kostas, Dimitris and Janis! Thank you so much for our holiday and your attention.
