PORTO DEMO BOUTIQUE HOTEL

Hotel very dirty we paid for all inclusive but the food every evening was cold, the wine was undrinkable. We were told we had to pay local environmental tax on arrival of €47 each and they would only except cash. There are lots and lots of steps to get to the only bar which is situated on the top of the hotel with only 1 shared toilet for all the smell of sewage was at times unbearable. Steps also very dangerous with no strips to show end of step. Hotel staff not helpful and at times rude. Back to our room there was only salt water coming out of taps including the shower the towels were small thin and very old bedding the same. How this hotel was given a 4* rating is just unacceptable and totally misleading Love Holidays should be ashamed of themselves but instead insist it’s not their problem and we should take it up with the Hotel, well silly me for thinking because we booked with them our contract was with them. Needless to say I would definitely not recommend this hotel or Love Holidays.

Please don’t get sucked in by the photos. Worst hotel ever, rooms dirty, food cold, too many steps. Only bar is pool bar which is right at the top. No bar inside to enjoy in the evenings. Complaints about room was ignored we had to keep asking for plugs to be fixed, kettle plug was loose very dangerous. All in all an awful experience, as was the opinion of other guests. The wine was so bad we took our own purchased from local shop. Complained to Loveholidays with photos to back up, they didn’t want to know, said we needed to take it up with hotel as it wasn’t their problem!!!!!!!! The Hotel had closed down for the season so useless.

The hotel rooms are the filthiest we have ever stayed in. There’s a foul smell throughout the hotel of sewage. The description of the hotel on love holidays turned out to be so far fetched it was a joke. The pool and swim up pools were dirty, the one toilet at the pool bar was crawling with insects and filthy we never witnessed it being cleaned and even the bar staff said it wasn’t clean. We witnessed the restaurant manager bullying people to write a good review and on more than one occasion taking their phones from them and writing it herself.. Our first room was disgusting, dirty and broken. The whole place needs a serious deep clean, the rooms are substandard, old,dirty and tired. The second room wasn’t much better. To anyone thinking about booking this holiday, if you have had to save all year you will be disappointed and we feel it is enormously unfair of the holiday company to take your money as they’re selling a lie.

We booked this hotel as it was advertised as a 4 star boutique hotel with deluxe rooms. This was a first visit back to Corfu for my wife & I for 15 years. We had read a number of reviews before going, some good and some less so. Unfortunately we found the hotel to be somewhat less than 4 star and the 'deluxe' rooms were fairly standard quality at best. One of the biggest issues was the amount of stairs that you needed to navigate to get anywhere around the site, which had not been mentioned anywhere in the advert for the hotel. Anyone with mobility issues will find this to be a challenge (if not impossible) to get around. Some parts of the hotel look very tired and in need of some TLC. There were a number of broken sun loungers, glass panels being held together by tape, broken glass doors in the restaurant area and areas that were in need of decoration. We were looking to forward to the all inclusive menu & drinks but found the food to be somewhat repetitive over the week with little traditional Greek food on offer. Plates were cold and food only lukewarm at times which made for everything being cold by the time you got to your table. There was a reasonable choice of food each day. The bread was very good and salad bar OK. Drinks choice was OK, one choice of beer on tap (beer was good), soft drinks from a dispenser or bottles, coffee wasn't great and choice of cocktails was poor. The hotel was missing a snack bar, which would have been good between the set meal times. A few areas had a strong smell of sewage most of the time, particularly around the car park behind reception, next to the lower level pool and sometimes in the area around the top pool & pool bar. Rooms were reasonably well equipped, but I would say basic rather than deluxe. The shower was good, plenty of power and hot water. Bathrooms themselves looked a little tired. Aircon system worked well. The rooms were cleaned every day and bedding / towels changed each day too, and the cleaning staff were very friendly & helpful. Location of the hotel is the best thing about it, on the hillside overlooking the bay with fantastic views of the bay and the amazing sunset each evening. It's only a 5 minute walk down a little hill to the beach. There's a little shop opposite the hotel and a small supermarket around the corner. We found all of the staff to be very friendly & helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We had an issue with noisy neighbours (loud music all night) a few nights in to our stay and the overnight reception staff & security were very helpful trying to resolve this for us in the early hours of the morning, they were also very apologetic and subsequently arranged for us to move rooms the following morning to another area of the hotel. We were impressed by the service on this. Despite the wonderful views. location and staff, we were left disappointed with our overall experience with this hotel and would not choose to go there again.

The entire experience was truly a dream. Any issues or requests I spoke of to Edstathia , Fotini, and Magda were readily dealt with. Some highlights were the lovely private shared pool just outside our balcony,while watching the awesome sunsets, and the fabulous hot showers and comfortable beds. I would definitely come back here
