    needs a little upgrade
Firstly let me say that this is a beautiful hotel with amazing grounds and swimming pools that make you relax instantly. The view of the sea and the hills are amazing and you do feel special being there. The entertainment and the food need a rethink though. The hotel has a number of restaurants and I will rate them as follows The Chefs Steak - costs 50 euros per head to eat here but the food and service are outstanding. Burger and Beer - costs included in stay - very easy eats and good service. Capella - Italian again 50 euros per head - food was not great and my partner was given the wrong main course ( overcooked and cold). Nautilus - good food and cafe style - 24 hour service. Cuisine - the buffet restaurant - great choice , great service team, accommodating chefs but the problem here is that the Hot food is not hot. This seriously needs to be looked at. We did inform the team and a few times the food had to be reheated. We arrived on the last day of the season and there was a halloween party that night - spectacular and well organised. The day after all entertainment seemed to be ceased and things went indoors to the bars and lobby. Very dull and a couple of nights the entertainment was only Karaoke. They need to think of better ways to engage the guests in the late season. Finally I want to single out Nazir as our host who was a lovely young man who listened to our gripes.

    Okay - but no more.
Stayed as a family end of October/early November. The hotel was really well maintained and kept very clean. Observations are: Food: Buffet okay, but as a previous reviewer mentioned, you have to ask for most of the items to be plated for you, which means you don't always get what you've asked for. Eggs at breakfast generally overcooked, with the exception of the omelettes which were fab. Most things (that should be hot) were luke warm. Pastries were like dry cardboard. The standard of the a la carte restaurants wasn't great. We ate at Scallops (fish restaurant) where the paella was just reheated rice (with no flavour) and one prawn, one mussel, one clam, etc. I did complain about this and they said that the executive chef knows it isn't cooked as it should be, but they don't have the correct pans to cook paella??? Certainly not worth 50 euros a head. The steak restaurant (Chefsteak) was okay, but chateaubriand was presented as tournedos and very few steaks were available on our last night - probably running down stock towards the end of the season. Again, probably not worth 50 euros a head. We also ate at Nautilus, which was truly appalling: it felt like a second-rate cafe, tucked out of the way in the hillside building. Staff were of a much lower standard than the main building restaurants. I think we were in and out in fifteen minutes flat and went to the buffet. After these experiences we didn't risk the other restaurants (certainly not for 200 euros) and actually ate off-site one evening. Lunch at the beach bar was okay, but very small portions. The chicken schnitzel looked like something from the frozen meal section in Iceland (I can only imagine...) as it was reformed plastic chicken. It tasted of nothing and was tiny. Surely a chicken or veal schnitzel shouldn't be too taxing to cook? One general issue was that you couldn't look at any of the menus until you were in the restaurants, or if you sneaked in and scanned the QR code - or if you could find them anywhere we weren't made aware of this. Bars: Main bar (Monte Cristo) was okay, but service was a little hit-and-miss, as was the Lobby bar. They have lots of cocktails displayed on screens around the place, but the QR code drinks list only had a few examples on there. We left the Monte Cristo early most evenings due to screeching Karaoke or similar nonsense, all played out to a soundtrack of fellow (Russian) guests watching nonsense on their phones at full volume. Rooms: We had a pair of Deluxe sea view rooms in the main building. These were absolutely fine, well cleaned on a daily basis and the showers were powerful and hot. Views across the bay from the balcony were lovely. Pools/Outdoor area: The main pool was fine, but all the sunbeds around it were crammed together. There were very few spaces, if any, where you could be 'on your own'. All the aquafit classes took place in the pool to a banging soundtrack (which we asked to be turned down) and this added to the fact that it was difficult to relax. We tried to hire a cabana (300 euros minimum for the day), which is 200 euros more than most other places for the same benefits, but were told that they were not available to book after 31st October. This was quite strange as we saw people using them in the following days? Water Park: Not up to the standard of other places we have stayed. Okay for small kids, but very tame for teenagers. Clubs: Our 14 year old son went to the archery session which was held near the kids club. This consisted of a bored staff member placing a small target on the grass outside the club entrance, giving a bow and half a dozen sucker-headed arrows to the kids who had turned up, and then disappearing. I think after about twenty minutes all the kids had wandered off. There was no supervision or attempt to make it interesting. After this he didn't bother with anything else. Watersports: Located down the beach. Obviously run by a third-party company. Complete rip-off prices - they wanted to charge us 200 euros for an SD card containing a few photos and a couple of short videos of our recent jet ski blast on the water. I laughed and walked off. Overall I would say it isn't quite worth the premium price you pay for staying here. The best bits were the view and the setting, but this is only worth so much. We stayed in Lara Beach previously and the hotel was equally well appointed and had a similar range of activities and restaurants, with a much better waterpark, for about two-thirds the price. The most disappointing thing was how false pretty much everyone was who we encountered. They have obviously been brainwashed into making anodyne comments every time they interact with a guest, which for me, rather than making the experience more personal, had the opposite effect. Their main target audience is obviously Russian holidaymakers (probably >90% of the people there) and perhaps that is what they expect or like? It didn't work for me or my family and we won't return.

    Beautiful hotel just lacks atmosphere
We’ve just come back from here after 11 nights.First of all we did have a really lovely time here the hotel has the wow factor very classy, clean hotel with beautiful surroundings. On our arrival we was greeted with champagne and chocolate strawberries and check in was easy. We was shown to our room by our host Omer. Our room was spacious and kept clean. The beds very comfortable and we had the choice of different pillows from the menu. We had a sea and pool view room in the main building the rooms are very sound proof. All the staff we found to be friendly. The main pool was heated perfect for this time of year and lots of sun beds however you had to get up by 7.30 to make sure you had a decent one. As the week went on the hotel did empty out so wasn’t as bad. The beach areas were lovely and the sea very clear. We did have a beach cabana twice Ali looked after us and made sure we had everything we wanted. Our girls (9 and 6) loved the water park and the kids club. While we was here we celebrated Halloween however on 1st Nov not 31st Oct! They did go all out with entertainment and disco. The entertainment at the beginning of our stay was good however as our week went on it was very samey even our girls commented. Not sure if this is just because the season is ending. Now to why I’ve not given 5*: - firstly the food! In our option it just wasn’t 5* standard. It was good quality but mostly just luke warm and they repeat the same old dishes in the main restaurant. Fed up with cold beans for breakfast we did tell them they had no idea what we was going on about. Twice we had hot beans. The omelets were good at breakfast. We also didn’t like the fact that it wasn’t self service some stuff was but most of it wasn’t. By the time someone served u one thing the rest of the stuff on your plate went cold as it wasn’t very warm in the first place plus Russians like to push in they clearly don’t know the meaning of queuing!! Couldn’t even do a bit of toast yourself at breakfast. I get it’s to give bit more of an exclusive feel but personally would rather service my own food in a buffet restaurant. Also I felt that there wasn’t much choice for vegetarians I don’t eat red meat and ended up most nights eating same stuff. Got bit boring by the end. We did go to the al carte Chinese Resturant one night that was really good but at €50 each! I think in ur stay you should get at least 1 al carte free. The beach snack Resturant was nice food was always served hot in there. The cocktail bar was really nice enjoyed some lovely cocktails in there and we loved the patisserie shop for the chocolates. Also the food labelling wasn’t very clear our daughter has a peanut allergy we just stuck to food that knew was ok for her. She wanted some cake from the dessert stand which has NO labelling on any cakes when we asked is there any peanuts in it they didn’t understand us so we didn’t get any. This is not very good and I feel it needs addressing. - secondly we felt like the hotel lacked atmosphere. It’s defiantly more catered towards the Russians even the shops there are!! We wouldn’t return as feel like previous 5* hotel we’ve been to in turkey is more suited to us with the ages our children are.

    Wonderful Stay
We have had a lovely stay at this hotel and it exceeded our expectations. On arrival we had a room upgrade to a sea view room which was amazing and a wonderful gesture. Main pool was heated as was the water park so my kids were happy! NGuides were great and informative ready to help at any time. Food was plentiful, and so much choice! Cleanliness of the whole hotel was spotless, hats off to all the staff who kept this hotel so clean from gardens to rooms to buffet. Service was great in the main buffet. Was let down by the pool area as the attendants were busy. I would suggest having more staff in this area who are more attentive and check if customers would like anything instead of us trying to catch them as they sped past. Sun loungers were pretty full so you had to be quick in holding one early morning but quite frankly it’s the same in all hotels! It was also a good excuse to catch the sunrise which is beautiful. We normally mix buffet meals during the week with the a la cartes but are chargeable and we could not justify paying almost 200 Euros to eat there the menu was quite limited and reviews not great so needs to be looked into. I have to rave about Firat the mixologist from the Monte Cristo Bar he looked after us so well and we had the BEST cocktails and service with a smile even though he was so busy. We were lucky enough to catch the Independance Day celebrations the show and Helicopter was great. Finally the entertainment was OK but the Halloween closing party/carnival was a huge success if you go next year take your fancy dress staff and guests made this so much fun! The setting, scenery, mountains, sea is gorgeous and was overall a wonderful relaxing holiday. The photos do not do it justice. It’s not perfect but I’m sure they can improve with time. Don’t forget to check out the rabbits on the front lawn - added bonus and lovely touch! We will definitely be back and I highly recommend NG Phaselis to anyone looking for a safe, family friendly retreat.

An exceptional stay in an absolutely stunning hotel. Truly embodied the meaning of luxury!
I don’t write reviews however our trip was so well enjoyed we want to share it with everyone- hence this review. The hotel is set in such a spectacular location. We arrived at nighttime and was happy to have a pool and sea view, however, we were left absolutely breathless the next morning where we could truly appreciate the scenery, including the mountains. The Beluga kids club - our children were happy to spend days away from us at the kids club. They were looked after so beautifully and had so much fun. The staff - so respectful, helpful, fun and engaging. They couldn’t not do enough for us. Our NG guides were always available which we appreciated and special thanks to Kabeer and Omer for always there to assist with any queries we had. Our children were especially fond of Kabeer. Nadir always made sure we never wanted for anything when we were lounging at the pool. I wish I took all the staff members names as they are all worth mentioning for their exceptional service and attention. We could go on and on about how amazing this holiday was, our best recommendation would be to visit and experience yourself. One of the absolute best 5star luxury hotels we’ve visited. We truly loved our visit ❤️
