NAAMA BAY HOTEL & RESORT

This review must start by explaining that we arrived here because of poor communications with our actual travel group. Long story short. So, Tonya and I arrived with no booking to the wrong hotel and so on However, the staff at the reception (young Mohammad and Mahmoud in particular) were extremely helpful and we were able to spend one night while our trip organiser sorted things out. Based on our experience, the staff, every member, the facility, and the food are exceptional. A well deserved five stars.

A big thank you to the animation team Moataz, Mohamed, Mando, Sultanat, Nastya and Lina, for not making me feel lonely. They always shared the fun, elegance and laughter with us. They were cheerful and helpful. My gratitude to them is indescribable, and to the owner of the company, Mr. Asem. I will not hesitate to return to them again. The hotel is essentially two hotels in one - the original hotel and then the villas to the rear which were built later. Rooms in the one to five hundreds have nice sea and pool views, decent balconies but are in the old hotel. They are noisy at night overlooking the main bar where events are mainly targeted at their Russian guests (this is by far the biggest group of people at the hotel). They are a little dated and in need of a refresh but are a good size. The villas behind where the larger pools are are much newer and look nice from the outside. This part of the hotel complex offers a choice of nice pools but they don't open until 0930. On arrival we were offered an upgrade to all inclusive and thankfully didn't take it as there are lots of good food options locally. For breakfast there is lots of choice - all of it bad. There are quite a few positives, the location of the hotel is great, it's clean and the staff are attentive. There is a private beach a few minutes walk away which is nice. The hotel offer lots of activities but be careful who you ask. I was quoted $200 by a man at the hotel for a speedboat hire, only to be offered exactly the same trip for $140 on their private beach. I appreciate that haggling is part of the gig in Egypt but you should be safe from this in the hotel. I really enjoyed my time in Sharm. The hotel location is great but average quality.

We chose the Naama Bay to be close to the Red Sea Diving College and because of the pools facilities for our kids. The hotel is comfortable & clean, if a little dated in places, it's clear a lot of work has recently been done to bring parts of it up to date, so that may well be ongoing. Staff were friendly and helpful generally,especially by the Olympic Pool. Meals in the main Palm Restaurant are fresh & tasty, if a little repetitive in offering which to be honest we find a lot everywhere as vegetarians anyway, but here even for carnivores it looked very samey. The Spa is excellent value, with friendly staff and therapists, and although the Manicure and pedicure I booked were great at the Beauty Salon, I felt very pressured to accept extra treatments while they carried out my daughters mani pedi and they literally bundled me into a chair 'to relax' and began treatments anyway as 'an example'. The Beauty salon is was very expensive in comparison to the spa and I ended up way over budget which made me feel very uncomfortable :( this was a shame as up to that point I had enjoyed our pamper day.

For sure we love the location and the hotel staff was amazing and so helpful and respectful as well we do like the pool and beach very nice and clean and close to the hotel food was wonderful as well the hotel Rooms only need some updates - and I would like to say a big thanks to Ahmed maher & anther Ahmed and Mr Alaa FOM - for their welcoming and everything laundry service team was perfect as well for sure we will come back - big love to sharm El - sheikh Egypt 🇪🇬♥️ .
