MITSIS RINELA BEACH RESORT & SPA

We visited as a family & travel all over to luxury hotel. On face value, this looks like a luxury resort, however there are major flaws. The rooms & grounds which have been refurbished are lovely! The restaurants which have been refurbished are very nice however the food is far from 5 star. The main buffet is old & in serious need of refurb. The food is bleak & nothing was to our taste. We struggled to eat there for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The al a carte restaurant food was good. However booking wasn’t easy & the lunch booking was impossible. After a complaint we were able to go to the beach tavern at lunch which was great. The food there was good. The al a carte restaurant which really disappointed was the Asian. We were served pot noodle type noodles for instance. The crepe shack was great however the queue was always long. Same for a drink at the pool. The ice cream served at the pancake shack was very good & changed daily which was nice. There was no urgency with the bar staff. They did come round & offer drinks but this wasn’t frequent & took ages to get the drink ordered. The disco for the kids kind of lacked. The kids club was welcoming & nice facilities. Overall I was hoping this was going to be a dream vacation, but the price we paid was definitely not worth it!

We visited Mitsis Rinela while staying at Mitsis Selection Laguna in order to decide for our next visit in June' 25. Christina Vereraki, Reservation & Sales Manager at Rinela greeted us and showed us the entire hotel in the most kind and professionel way resulting in, that we are now planning our visit June'25 for our family of 9. I arrived at Mitsis Rinela after 10 years from my first visit . The hotel set in a stunning location with a wonderful sandy beach didn't disappoint with an amazing transformation of all the specialist restaurants, all the accommodation, and the pool area . The staff couldn't be more helpful from our arrival to us leaving, especially all the reception staff and employee relations team, Zilia Maryana Olga front desk . The food and drinks offerings were excellent, including specialist restaurants and the main restaurant With Nikos Also thanks to Ireni in the bar near the main restaurant she could not be more helpful. A great team in the other bar namely Kostintina, Ada, Kristina Ana,United fan Alfred. We hope to return again soon. Thanks for a great time. .

Visited here last week with my partner, we stayed for 5 days, when we arrived we had been upgraded which was lovely, the hotel is absolutely beautiful, staff are lovely and very helpful, they offer so many food options that it’s very easy to eat here, the steak and Italian Al a carte resultants was lovely but the others wasn’t as great. Rooms was clean, they have a speaker alarm clock in the room which was good so we could play our own music, there isn’t much to do around the hotel you will have to get cabs or hire a car from inside the hotel which we did so for a couple of the days. If you are planning on a relaxing holiday where you don’t need to leave the hotel much then this is the hotel for you!

What I’d have liked to know pre booking: Room: We had a superior bungalow and it was lovely inside. It didn’t have a sea view but was tucked away in a quiet place which I preferred. The room was lovely with lots of space and great storage with more than enough hangers which is the first hotel I’ve ever known to address this! The shower was very good. My only downside about this hotel, and I’ve seen other people say this too, is the poor soundproofing. If you’re in the bathroom and your neighbours are too….well you literally hear everything! We had very loud noises above us too. So bad I went up to ask the people in the room to stop banging. They were mortified and I don’t think they were doing anything but moving about the room. Would this put me off booking? No. Because once people are asleep you hear nothing and I slept well every night. The mini bar is restocked daily with water, soft drinks and beer. Maid service is very good. They are a lovely bunch too. Very friendly. Food: Food is excellent in all areas. - Pizza place. Best pizza I’ve ever tasted. Anywhere! Including in Italy! I noticed people asking for bespoke full pizzas too to take away which is a great bonus. - Buffet restaurant is fine. I read so many negatives but the food is very good, lots of choice, fresh salads and a large variety of hot show cooking. I’d say each night there were 6 separate areas: fish, lamb, chicken etc. cooked in front of you. There are lots of side dishes too. The desserts are very good too. Breakfast is excellent too. The pancakes and choc sauce 😋 - Beach bbq: Only tried the gyros and enjoyed it. - Greek Taverna is fantastic! The food was absolutely beautiful. I’ve seen negative reviews about it and can’t see how. Well cooked and tasty. Staff lovely in there. 5/5 for this. - Pan Asian has such bad reviews and yes, the duck is very dry. However, the rest of it is beautiful. It’s not called a Chinese so if you’re expecting something akin to a takeaway that’s not what this is. My favourite restaurant. - Interesting that the Italian seems to have the best reviews. I thought it was fine but Pan Asian was better which shows we all have different tastes! As the pizza is so good I’d ate a piece most days so had the seafood pasta here. It was gorgeous! HUGE mussels and all cooked perfectly. - Steak restaurant was my husband’s favourite. - (😣 except the Italian Brunch 😢which is awful. We had an omelette and it was dry and inedible). You can’t book restaurants on the app as they are so booked up ahead. Reception will book for you but you will have no choice of days and times as they push the bookings on piece of paper to your room. We had no complaints and got to eat at every one. General: - It’s in a quiet area - if that’s what you want you have everything in the hotel plus a few supermarkets and a dentist/chemist in 5 mins walking distance. If you want lively and late nights it’s not for you. - Spa was very good too and worth a massage as you get an hour in the inside pool too. - I usually prefer adult only hotels as my kids are grown up but the children were all great. Mainly young babies and toddlers. - Brollies don’t move so as the sun moves if you want shade you have to move beds which wasn’t a problem in November but I can imagine it’d be an issue in peak time. - The cards in the room are as usual. You get 2 and you can keep one in the room. I saw someone post you can’t. Not sure why people make this stuff up 😂 - The flights do come low but stop at night. Again saw someone say it’s all night 🙄 and it’s not - If you’re looking at a private swim up pool room they look gorgeous. - Drinks by pool. A lady walks round often asking if you want a drink and she is FABULOUS. A real genuine and kind woman. - The beach bar waiter is soooo nice and genuine too. - Beach is nice - You can’t ‘bag’ sun loungers and go off before 10am. Towels are provided from 10am - I’ve seen people saying table service is slow. Well go to the bar yourself if you are so desperate 🙄 - It was windy in November but the best place, strangely, is the beach. It’s completely sheltered and it’s beautiful with its own bar and bbq. The wind was just bad luck as it looks lovely this week. All in all: 5/5. Worth every penny. Lovely refurbished resort and I’d say book it now! I would return.
