MISTRAL HOTEL MALIA

Room was very small and very expensive , it wasn't solo, lots of friends holidaying together, food wasn't great, trips organised from hotel were extremely expensive... never again, over rated! And the Hotel is very isolated and not near anything, so you are at there mercy!

The rooms are extremely small, it looks very old and dirty. On top of that the airconditioning was not working, so we had to sleep with our windows open in 30 degrees. We didnt catch 1 hour of sleep, as it's right next to the party strip and we had to keep our windows open for the slightest bit of cool air. On top of that, the security guard told us that we could pay 70 euros for the airconditioning (!?). So instead of compensating us, we would have to pay extra. Which would probably have gone straight into the guard's pocket. The bathroom was small en dirty as well. If you are going to this hotel as a couple, I have one advise only: AVOID AT ALL COSTS!. We took our loss and booked another hotel to safe our holiday. Best decision ever.

It's located 30 minute from Her Airport and 30 minutes from Agios Nikolas. The hotel is on the famous street of Malia. You can find every disco bar and restaurant. It’s a bit crowded, so it is not suitable for family with kids and for elderly. It's really located into the night fun. There is a car parking, but spots are few. The room and the bathroom were small but fortunately we had a little balcony. You can find in the room the air conditioning and a little kitchenette but you probably won’t use, the room is too small to make cooking . The room was clean but the towels didn’t get changed. Peolple were nice, typical of Greek people. The breakfast was poor and it’s always the same.

This hotel is quality at a affordable price the staff and owner are amazing they will do anything to help you fresh sheets towels and room service daily I have been 4 years in a row and to there bigger and more luxurious VERGINA hotel run by same family and front of house is MANOS a nice guy who will help you when he can I can't fault either hotel and I have stayed in both so if your staying I'm malia these hotel are perfect for either end of you budget this would be my recommendation DS

Looks fairly nice on the pictures, however pictures are deceiving. Booked a studio and arrived at the hotel to be put in the wrong room. Explained this to the old lady at the front desk she assured us that it would be sorted by the morning. We had breakfast included but this obviously isn’t an obligation. We spoke to her the next day to see what was going on. She said that she had said to come down on the morning and speak to the manager, which she never said. She said the manager was waiting for us and then proceeded to act like it was our fault that we were in the wrong room, when it was the hotels fault in the first place. Then after this she said she would check if one was available but there was none so gave us a portable stove and a table with one pot. The room is decent when we arrived we had no shower head. The ac when left on started to leak water and was leaking onto our suitcases. We had to lay out towels for the leaking ac at 4 in the morning. The staff acted like we were inconveniencing them at every moment. Not good service overall. The pool is nice and is the best bit about the hotel. Very close to the strip and convenient.
