MIRADA DEL MAR HOTEL

5-12 Oct 2024. This resort was amazing, assisted by the beautiful weather (early to mid 30s all week). Sunbeds were mostly always available (never a battle to get one, except maybe on the jetty/private beach). The selection of food was varied and catered to all palettes, and was well labelled for those with dietary needs. All very tasty. and the on site patisserie was an added bonus each afternoon. The bar man on roller blades by the pools was a nice touch. The drinks menu and restaurant options were available via QR code which is useful. A great variety of activities during the day and the evening for all age groups. There is also a small zoo which has a small variety of birds and fish. Not a very English speaking/friendly resort so if this bothers you, find another. Its mostly Russian and German tourists. But they do try really hard to help you when needed. The only negative was the onsite spa. What they sell you and what they deliver are not the same thing. Which is a shame. Next time I would try somewhere off site after our experience. We would absolutely return to this beautiful resort.

We have been to Turkey 7 times and have always enjoyed our stay at the various hotels we have chosen. This was our second time staying at the Mirada Del Mar along with my wife's sister and husband. My wife's sister makes all the arrangements for both her and her husband and ours through her travel agent in St. Petersburg Russia. Hotels, flights, and airport transfers are all paid months in advance. We checked in on the early evening of October 14th. The two young women at the check-in counter asked for our passports and when we presented our United States passports, we were informed that because we were checking in with U.S. Passports and not Russian passports there would be extra charges that needed to be paid. This was supposedly due to currency exchange rates between Russian and United States currency. This did not happen last year when we checked in so we instantly knew something was wrong. Without that prior knowledge, we would have just paid the charges not knowing they were not necessary. My wife pointed out that she has both U.S. and Russian passports but only brought our U.S. passports on this trip. The woman said she needed to produce a Russian Passport or we would have to pay the extra charges. We were fortunate enough to be able to contact her sister's travel agent in St. Petersburg, after work hours, who sent us a digital image of my wife's passport. The women reluctantly accepted this as proof, but said it was only temporary. They said they would check with their supervisors the next morning. We never heard anything else from anyone so we believed everything was fine, and it was. When my wife's sister contacted the travel agent, the agent became quite agitated. She stated that the two women had no good reason to even bring up this matter, that there were no extra charges required, and the women should have known better. She expressed her disappointment with Mirada Del Mar at that moment. This should never have happened. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Mirada. I have very finicky eating habits but I was always able to enjoy a very good meal at each of the 3 mealtimes. At breakfast time I got to know Kahn, I hope that is the correct spelling of his name. He was working at the beverage bar and after the second day, he recognized me and knew that I would be asking for 2 glasses of orange juice which I did 2 times each morning. I had the same results over at the fried egg station. I like scrambled eggs. After ordering them for two days, the gentleman there recognized me and I didn't even have to ask him for the rest of our stay for my 4 scrambled eggs. He just knew. The women at the guest services desk were able to quickly and very pleasantly handle any internet problems we were having on our various devices and were a delight to work with. The hotel staff would always promptly notify everyone about stormy weather and when to stay out of the water. I enjoyed having ice cream which was available for several hours during the day. I loved all the cats that call Mirada Del Mar their home. One of them, during a particularly windy day, crawled up on my lap and fell asleep snuggled up and wrapped up in my beach towel. Everything we needed for a good restful vacation was available at the hotel. We went on two tours this time but spent the rest of our days very happily at the hotel. The Mirada Del Mar is about a 1-mile each way easy walking distance from Goynuk. I made that walk about 7 times in 12 days. Goynuk is where you would go to buy your souvenirs, clothes, groceries, and pretty much whatever else you might need. There were a couple of shop owners who remembered us from previous years and were happy to see us again. Of all the hotels we have stayed in for each of our 7 annual Turkey vacations, we feel that the Mirada is the one we liked the best. The incident at the check-in counter when we arrived did not ruin our vacation in any way. We enjoyed every minute in this wonderful hotel Oasis, and look forward to staying there again next year.

I have some experience with different all inclusive hotels in Jamaica, Mexico, Dominican Republic, UAE and non all inclusive even in Hawaii and Alaska. So Mirada unfortunately became worst experience I ever had. Even 4 star all inclusive hotels were better a way better!!! So just list of what I didn't like: - Some of restaurants in hotel were required extra pay!!! It's first time ever in my life I was in 5 star all inclusive hotel with that kind of "extra". - Problems with internet. 1 full day was out of internet at all. - Excessive noice in a room during a night. A lot of noice that coming from other rooms or floors I wasn't able to find out. No way to have a good sleep. - Telephone rings during the night. It feels like someone is playing with you. Phone ring at 2 am 4 am 5 am. Beside excessive noice you have no chance to sleep. - TV from the beginning of 2000. Very small, no HDMI, no way you can connect laptop or phone. - Non of pools in hotel are heated pools! And this is 5 star! Even enclosed pool with no heat. So we were unable to enjoy swimming pools due to cold water. - Poor variety of non alcoholic drinks. - Food variety also not impressive and doesn't match with 5 star. Overall don't waste your money and vacation time - stay away!

In short: everything was great, a lot of content for the kids & great animation team. Everything is being cleaned all the time with borderline obsession. Food variety and quality is amazing, everyone were kind to us and we really enjoyed our stay.

Mirada is a perfect place to spend vacation. Pools, slides, food, and staff are great. Rooms are clean and big. Lots of activity for kids and adults: pool games, darts, archery, air gun, mini disco, kids show (and cinema), evening show. Sea is warm and clean. In the last few years, we spent our vacation there. We like it!
