LYTTOS MARE

I actually havnt been yet but we are in June then I give another review, I just want to thank lyttos mare for actually emailing me back every time I've emailed them, they have been so cooperative in telling what room I should book from my screen shots as the ones on Tui site are not named the same , when a hotel goes out of there way to help you like this it is so nice as i have disabilities where I need a specific room , thank you so much to the lyttos team you really have made my booking with Tui a lot less stressful and aware that the the room are listed differently on Tui ,so any one else deciding on a room I would suggest you email lyttos 1st ,can't wait to be there now then I will do another review which I'm sure by the way they have helped will be 5🌟

When we arrived at Lyttos Mare in the last week of their season we were impressed with the design and quality of the hotel which seems almost brand new. We had emailed the hotel requesting an upgrade to family pool room prior to our arrival. We were disappointed with the attitude of the receptionist when we requested to upgrade on arrival. She was unfriendly and unhelpful. We did not upgrade in the end because none of the family rooms with pool face the sea or the centre of the hotel with all the magnificent pool lighting. They all face a brick wall on the outside of the hotel. We were happy to stay in our family room with balcony which was spacious and clean.l and new. It faced the pools but we couldn’t see the sea. We found most of the staff unenthusiastic with the exception of the children’s entertainment team. It was nice to go to the Lyttos Beach hotel next door as they had more entertainment on offer at the time. The buffet food wasn’t good at all. It was bland and boring. The Asian restaurant was very good but they closed the restaurant before we left the hotel. The Greek taverna was also very good but again they closed the restaurant prior to our departure. We were very disappointed that on arrival the steak restaurant was fully booked for the whole of our stay. The most disappointing part of the holiday however was the fact that none of the beautiful pools were usable due to them being freezing cold. Our grandchildren were there to swim but couldn’t get in the water without turning blue! Fortunately there is an indoor pool which was less cold so we spent the holiday in there. I am sure that in the height of the season the hotel would be great. However I do not recommend booking this hotel at the very beginning or very end of their season ie last week of October.

Very nice hotel, comfortable rooms, excellent food. The only thing that was a disappointment was the gym. It's on the edge of the indoor pool and the floor was always wet and slippery which seems like a bit of a hazard, also cardio equipment was lacking a bit, no spin bikes or rowing machines.

We really enjoyed the pools and bar areas, they were really modern, comfortable and spacious. We also loved having the bike hire and racket sports on site. We were a bit underwhelmed though by the dining experiences. The Greek tavern offered the best food by far but it was really frustrating to only be served the house wine which was quite poor. We offered to pay for a better quality wine, which was available in the Argentinian restaurant but were told this wouldn’t be possible. It wasn’t what I would expect from a 5-star hotel.

Amazing hotel, staff provided the best customer service from the receptionist to the restaurants and cleaners all amazed me. Food was delicious and cocktails were amazing! Special shout out to the waiters in the main restaurant they do an amazing job!! We went on our first family holiday with a 6 month old. The holiday was amazing he felt comfortable and facilities were amazing in the room (sterilisation and baby friendly)The only thing was that we found the spa staff a bit rude, definitely they need to be trained on customer service
