    Great hotel
We ended up at this hotel due to Tui asking us to change our hotel from the royal seginus 3 days before flying and this one was suited more to us from the options which paid off. Hotel And Staff - The hotel is beautiful, Rooms are lovely and very spacious, plenty of storage, we had a sea and pool view which was a bonus. Staff are outstanding can't do enough for you and very pleasant. Pools - There are multiple pools in the hotel and all the same depth, pools were never overly busy and we always got a sunbed and you get staff coming round asking you to take part in activities but if you don't want too they wont pester you. The pools are very clean, The pool/foam party was excellent also. Restaurants - The restaurants are very clean and spacious, we arrived really late but they have one open from 11pm until early morning which was a bonus. We always found a seat in the main restaurant and staff were always friendly, the only issue we had was with some of the food, it was very repetitive and unless you like fish it can be very fish based, my husband also found most of his meat pink on some occasions which did put him off. Entertainment - The entertainment is great, we loved the majority of the shows, they always have a kids disco before hand, my 8 year old didn't take part as she thinks shes too old for it lol, the white beach party each week was amazing and they done a fantastic job. Rooms - Very clean and tidy and have everything you need such as body washes, shampoo, conditioner, even slippers. Overall we loved our experience here.

    Second Enjoyable Stay May 2023
We went as a family to the Royal Taj Mahal in May 2023 (late review) after visiting a few years before. Again we had a fantastic stay and staff were amazing! Food/snacks & drinks were great and no complaints there. Our room was lovely and very spacious. The hotel kept our family all next to each other which we found lovely as we had we could help with our grandchildren. We even had complimentary drinks, fruit and cake to our rooms for my daughter's birthday which was a lovely touch as they had not done this on arrival due to us arriving late and rooms are hot. Entertainment, waterpark and funfair was very enjoyable too. We would always consider returning as we have been twice and loved it. Only thing I would say is if you keep your room on pay there and then as we were told to pay on the day and unfortunately were told it wasn't available and with two small children it would have benefit us to use the room as we ended up remaining in lobby for a long time before pickup (however this is a rip not a complaint). Thankyou Royal Taj for an enjoyable second visit.

    Great holiday
Is a great hotel with UAI, a lot of pools, bars and a great animation team. Food was very much and a lot of meals on the court. The staff was very helpful and they make me fell very well. Overall the hotel was 70% full but still I can found places at the beach or at the pool.

Accident during our stay because of negligent life guards
I suggest you read the whole review here since we had an accident during our holiday. On one of the first days, my wife and son went from the yellow slide as can be seen on the advertised hotel pictures. You slide of this on a rubber band. A lifeguard at the top of the slide decides when to release you and then pushes you down the slide. In our case, he pushed my wife and son before the slide had been cleared at the bottom - there were still people on the slide. As he spinned them around when pushing them down, they were going rearwards and could not see anything coming. At the bottom, my wife hit her back on something or somebody, resulting in pain in her back, neck and arms. She was taken to the hospital by ambulance about an hour later after seeing the hotel doctor. The hospital stated the scans were clear but wanted her to stay an extra night. She declined, after which she was immediately dismissed with no medical records, proof of scans, etc. In the hotel, guest relations was being as helpful as they could be and the next day we received a fruit basket with a "get well soon" card. As a consequence, my wife was unable to take care of our baby the following days. Our other two kids were also quite shocked by the event and did not really use the slides anymore for the rest of the holidays (one of the reasons we went to this hotel). They were scared of the slides and were worried about getting injured. My wife kept having pain for the rest of the holidays. The hotel acknowledged what happened and I made a claim with both the hotel and travel operator, asking for a refund of 2 days as we felt this was what we lost during our stay. Both did not reply for 3 weeks. My last email was answered with "take whatever legal steps you want". We are very disappointed with how the hotel management dealt with this accident. Though we know accidents can happen, what defines a hotel is how they deal with them. The negligence of the life guard caused an injury which could change a person's life. Fortunately we were lucky so to say, but a small refund is the least what the hotel could do. Completely disregarding our request seems like this hotel only cares about money, and not about its guests. Besides the above, the hotel itself is very nice. There is plenty of food to choose from, and there are quite a few places where you can eat and drink. We appreciated it very much that next to the swimming pool there is a simple restaurant where you can have lunch. Same goes for the beach: your all-inclusive is also valid in the beach restaurant, providing lunch and drinks (drinks are all day long). The cocktails were tasty though the quality did differ. Every cocktail seemed to be different, even if you ordered the same. There was no consistency between the barmen. Rooms were very spacious. Bathroom was a bit dated but sufficed. Swimming pools were nice, but the pools for the really little ones were very basic. The bigger pools are 1m40 everywhere, meaning for anything up to a 9-year old, it is probably too deep to stand in. We were really missing a pool of let's say 1m00 deep. Around some of the swimming pools was a strong smell of sewage, which was quite disgusting. This was not the case everywhere though. Opening times of the slides are somewhat limited, 10.00-12.00 and 14.00-16.30 (in the beginning even 16.00). The lunapark has some great entertainment for the kids but the machines felt dated and sometimes somewhat unsafe. The boat for example has a bar that keeps you in place as the boat rocks back and forth. However, we found there's quite some space between your body and the bar and we didn't feel completely safe. There are life guards everywhere but their work days are limited: they are not there the whole day. It happened more than once that we noticed they were just playing with their phone and paying less attention than they should be. This group of mostly young people seemed to take their job too lightly and though you should always keep your own kids safe, it would have been nice to see more professionalism from the life guards. Safety seems to be more of a show for this hotel than top priority. Altogether it was a great holiday, had it not been for the accident at the beginning of the holiday. Though we were taken care of at that moment, the after care was very bad and management's refusal to deal with the situation and guest satisfaction is appalling. We specifically liked the hotel rooms and the offered food and drinks. Overal though, we don't expect to ever come back to this hotel and in the future will stay somewhere else.

    Family vacation with kids
Royal Taj Mahal is a very good hotel situated right at the seaside with a private beach. There is a sufficient number of sunbeds, we never had any problems. Room was quite spacious, with a balcony. The seating outside was a bit delapidated. Food was great in the main restaurant. The chef was very very helpful when helping me and my kids with gluten free foods. The food in at the pools wasn´t so good (kebab, hamburgers), which is ununderstandable. You can get something to eat throughout the whole day. The drinks in the bars were tasty, I would say better than other hotels in this area. The beach was sandy and shallow for about 10-15 metres, depending the time of the day. This hotel is for German tourists, so everyone spekas German. There is a shopping mall right outside the hotel.
