For the first time in 25 years I left this hotel feeling disappointed and despondent. In the 12 days we were there the atmosphere seemed to have changed from the start of the season, as had the priorities. I am hoping it was a temporary , We found it frustrating that on several occasions we could not find a lounger on the beach whilst guests from the family side opened the gate for each other, climbed walls etc- using all the available beds and spaces. To be fair guest relations did send someone down to find loungers etc when I contacted them, but standing around waiting for 40/50 mins trying to find a lounger together is not relaxing or what we expect on holiday; nor is going to find a staff member to tell them each time someone sneaks in- as one staff member suggested to me. We are on holiday trying to relax, not have a stressful hour or so each afternoon trying to enjoy the beach. We also found the pool bar area, loungers during the day and tables in the evening not cleared of empty glasses, coffee cups etc. On one occasion we moved tables because our table became so full of empty glasses. I was disappointed with some of the bar service, to which I can go into further details if the management wish to contact me for further details. With these points said, I LOVE this hotel and I really do hope it was a temporary deviation and not a new trend. Typically- the friendliness of all of the staff are the bench mark for all other hotels. As are the standards around the pool and bar areas. The food is possibly the best you can get anywhere and has consistently improved year on year- this was true for this visit. We loved the new entertainment area, and found most of the groups an improvement on previous years. The Sunset restaurant both day and night was faultless. The beach bar has continued to improve and we really enjoyed the live music at sunset. We felt the consistency in cocktails was good, and that almost everyone made a cocktail using the same, correct recipe. It is hard to write this review and remain balanced… We love Lykia, would we have rushed back there after our October visit- no. However, we do know what an amazing place it is and can be.

Having visited this hotel previously I was disappointed with my stay this time. It is hard to say why I feel the hotel has deteriorated- there have been some great additions to the hotel this year- entertainment area, Sunset restaurant, patisserie etc. We summed it up as the soul of the hotel had been lost. The sparkle in the staff and their enthusiasm which have, in the past, brought the hotel to life seemed to have gone. Waiting on and bar staff seem to fawn over their superiors, but then view customers as an inconvenience- dare I say at times rude carrying on with conversations or counting their tips before fulfilling a drinks order request. The beach area is cramped, and a total free for all of people from the family side, climbing over walls and/or letting friends in so that there are very few beds left for paying guests. Pool area, did not seem as clean as in previous visits- lack of mopping, glasses on tables and slow service. Active Away- when we were there at the start of October there was a large tennis group. Unlike previous years, their young coaches dominated the beach jetty for a couple of hours each afternoon, blasting music, running and somersaulting off the jetty and as they liked to scream out countless times each afternoon- “having it large.” We were disappointed to observe an older member of their paddle team (we could hear him from50 meters away talking about paddle) mimicking a gentleman taking phonographs. It felt almost gangish and somewhat intimidating. Entertainment team- each day the team would walk through like ducklings following mother duck. They said good morning, but did not pause for a response- they had a circuit to complete with four in a row and they completed it without breaking away from each other. A good morning means nothing unless their is some kind of personal interaction- eye contact, a pause for a reply etc. The steak a la carte restaurant is poor. The steak and starters here are not a patch on the main restaurant, although the service was friendly. What remains good/outstanding: Food in the main restaurant- outstanding quality Front of house- great reception team who were always happy to help. Housekeeping- clean rooms Beach bar- great for sunset cocktails. We tried the sunset restaurant for both lunch and once in the evening- this was excellent. Hazel at lunchtime is simply charming. The new entertainment area is stunning, and it was refreshing to see and hear some new acts. Loved these! I really hope that my experiences this year have just been a blip and settling in of the new management rather than the decline of this once fabulous hotel. I really hope the management take stock of what is happening around them, Lykia was/is a great place to holiday.

PURE relaxation I'm generally someone who doesn't like to spend my vacation just in a hotel, but here at the Liberty Lykia Adults Only that wasn't a problem. Everything was clean, the food/drinks were excellent and the service was great. There were no overcrowded pools, the beach (the hotel's own) is small but well organized, there are different areas where you can stay so that you can always find some quiet areas. If you want you can also go to the other side of the hotel (Liberty family hotel) and use the facilities there, but this is not a must. Every evening there is a program / concerts and if you want to party you can also have this in the hotel next door. The animation team is also super friendly and always available for a nice exchange, you can see that they think about guest care and open for any kind of questions. Best regards to Eren, but of course also to the whole team ;-) All in all a great hotel in a quiet location, we would love to come back again

This is the second time I have visited this hotel and it certainly won’t be the last. I can only agree with all the other positive reviews. Food and drinks were excellent in both appearance and quality. A few positives since my last visit a few years ago, the entertainment area has been relocated from the pool bar area. New location is simply stunning. QR codes on tables from pool side to the beach which allow you to order drinks from your seat or sun lounger. Additional a la carte restaurants which you can book up to use during your stay. The staff are a credit to the hotel, always polite/ helpfull and willing to go the extra mile. Well done Liberty staff.

Had an amazing week first time here and it’s been a blast! Amazing bar staff!!! Though pool bar could do with being light up at night! food fab and entertainment great! Polya was so helpful as were all the staff to be fair! All round a great hotel…… until next time 😎
