JOHN MARY APARTMENTS

Absolutely disgusting staff who have favorites and different rules. They ruined our holiday, not just ours either we spoke to a family who were being made to swim with their 14 year old very competant swimmers!. Do not lower yourself and go here any pay to be treated like they are doing you a favour.

Stayed for 10 nights. Room ok but tired. When we arrived Mikalis showed us to the room, showed us where everything was. Said air con was available at €6 a day or you could 'open a window and let mosquitos in'. I did notice his apartment had bug screens on the windows and doors so maybe something to think about for paying customers? Had to pay for a safe key. No drawer storage. A couple of coathooks would have been useful. Shower head bracket on the wall broken so had to shower one-handed. Apartment was only cleaned twice in 10 days, we emptied the bins ourselves after 3 days. Not really acceptable. Kitchen area basic as expected. Bottle shelf in fridge held on with sellotape. Pool ok but with a high step up and a long step down to the first rung on the ladder. Not good for anyone with mobility issues. Good location, close to the beach and tavernas.

These apartments were everything I had hoped for to ensure a quiet and relaxing holiday, The apartment we had on the ground floor was basic but clean and safe. The cooking facilities are a little basic but adequate for breakfast and lunch but with several restaurants close by, this was not an issue.The pool was cleaned daily and was rarely occupied by more than two people during our stay. Plenty of sun loungers are available and there is a bar ares by the pool for drinks. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The surrounding area has three well-stocked supermarkets within easy walking distance. There is not much to do in Gouves but for a relaxing holiday it is ideal.

8th time to Gouves but first time at John Mary and we loved it. One of the best hotels we have stayed in, in the area. Room was lovely and spacious, everywhere was lovely and clean. Only disappointment was the bar wasn’t open, but we did arrive early in the season. We had the pool to ourself pretty much. Will definitely be returning !

Stayed here in a room that was classed as an apartment (no way).so called bar you couldn't get a drink or snack during the day.found it to be very clicky as the owner had his favourites who'd been going for years.would not recommend and most certainly would not return.
