    Perfect holiday
It’s been a year and a half since we had our trip to Esperides, (June 2023) I think about it all of the time, it was one of the best holidays I’ve had. The hotel was stunning, we got picked up at the entrance in a buggy and taken to the reception to check in. Was a fun and welcoming arrival! We had half bored with breakfast and dinner, the food choices were incredible, and in the evening they had a live chef food station with a themed dish. Cocktails were lovely, we both drank so many frozen daiquiris and accidently got ourselves a large bill 😂 worth it! The area is perfect too, we hired a car and drove through lots of town around Crete, so good for exploring! The local town by the hotel has so many restaurants to choose from, a truly authentic place. Walk down to the beach to the far left and the water is stunningly blue! We also did a quick day trip to Santorini, beautiful! This was mine and my partners first holiday together and it was perfect, the hotel, the staff, the place!

Wow! The most stunning hotel in Crete
Great vacation!!! I have no words! From the reception, dining room, facilities, our magical room with the heated pool and for me what contributed most to the magic is the wonderful staff at this hotel especially Dimitrius who was wonderful, always helped, contributed, advised and the children talked to him even when there was a language barrier... wonderful people! Although those who are looking for a hotel with an entertainment team and facilities for children will not find it here, but this is not what we were looking for, the location of the hotel is great and it really is a wonderful hotel! The price was really worth the experience, so much so that we thought and wondered where the catch was. There was no catch, really worth the price.

    Nice hotel
This is a nice resort, it’s clean enough and friendly and every rooms seems to be different, built into the hillside there are various steps and twists and turns, a couple of pools, swim up bar and rooms with hot tubs or pools. We did go at the end of season and I really don’t think the heated pools were on, and of course it feels very quiet and a bit eerie at times, yet we had a really nice time. We did have to change rooms after the first night as don’t believe we were offered the correct one and we are still not sure we had the right one then, they are fairly basic and we did see much better rooms available. It was our 25th wedding anniversary, part of the reason for going away at this time, and whilst everyone was friendly at the hotel they didn’t make it special so I would book for a holiday, perhaps not for a wedding or anniversary. Maybe everyone was just tired at the end of the season like they were in all the shops and restaurants, as there was no spark from the staff. Food was good, breakfast had a good selection and pool snacks excellent.

5* stay and longing to return soon.
Wow what a holiday! Room: we stayed in an elite open suite with jacuzzi, definitely a good choice as it was end of season here in Crete so the pool although heated could be chilly when you got out if the sun wasn't in favour for the day so a quick warm up in the jacuzzi was welcome. Also though a nice lazy afternoon with sea views from the jacuzzi was a luxurious treat. We saw many people upgrading to the jacuzzi rooms as he week went on, if it was a summer month I'd probably opt for a private pool instead. Restaurants: I was apprehensive travelling with two with dairy intolerances but I need not to have worried. Each day the chefs took my son around the buffet to show what he could and couldn't eat, they made him pancakes for breakfast with alternative milk. The Klio pool bar was great for food and drink throughout the day and again plenty of choice, you can eat at the tables or have food and drink served to your sunbed. Staff: An absolute pleasure, so friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble and lovely to share stories with them and find out where they are all off to when the hotel closes in 3 days time for winter. Entertainment: Evening singers and musicians in the Apollo bar was nice to listen to whilst playing family card games or watching the football on sports corner (sound off so as not to disturb others). We are already planning when to return again as it was such a gorgeous holiday. One word of warning end of October is end of the season in Crete so lots of restaurants and bars in the village were closing or had already closed so you are generally confined to the hotel at that time of the year if you are B&B/Half Board for your other meals which isn't too much of a hardship 😁

    Had a great time.
Had a wonderful time here. The place is very clean. Staff are all friendly and helpful, and they all seem to speak very good English. Thank goodness because we can't speak any Greek! The food is very good, with lots of variety. The hotel is an interesting design, with lots of different levels, joined by ramps, and walkways and stairs. There's a lift too. If I had my way, I wouldn't have children under 8 years old in the bar areas after about 8pm, particularly if they are crying. However I suspect that's just a British view. Look out for the black cat, Cleo. If she's in the dining room you probably shouldn't feed her from your plate!
