DUJA HOTELS BODRUM

We were the last guesses of the season. A Quite and peaceful hotel with plenty of areas to relax. Great selection of food from snack bars to the main restaurant. Also the staff were excellent nothing was to much trouble. And on the last day the hotel closed at 6 and our taxi wasn't until 10pm but the guess manager went out of his way to look after us.

This was my 2nd visit to duja bodrum the resort is stunning with amazing views we had a village room which was lovely. The Starbucks is amazing and iaas worked tirelessly all day. The pontoon down by the sea was our favourite place to be. Can definitely recommend the sebastian boat trip from the hotel which can be booked via the lovely gokhan or ati we were picked up and spent a lovely day on the boat and then dropped back it was very well organised. Compared to my first visit the service at this hotel has really slipped, trying to get a drink with your dinner is impossible and if you go to dinner early its like feeding time at the zoo and tables are not cleared quickly enough. The spa is amazing and we had hamam and massage for a very good price. Getting into bodrum is easy you can get the dolmus from the main gate is cheap and takes about 10 mins. The hotel always felt safe which is important for females travelling together and when re entering we always had to show our room cards to security. To sum up the resort is beautiful and has some really good parts but the poor service really lets it down! If your expecting 5* you may be disappointed.

Ok so let me start by saying the hotel itself i.e. the grounds are amazing and beautiful. The rooms are nice. Shower could be more powerful but had worse. We had the village room and for us it was ok. We were family of 3. Son who is 4 slept on the small sofa bed. The spa is nice I had a treatment which is one of the betters ones I have had for long time. The drinks are good but at the beach bar expect long queues. Same for the Starbucks coffee expect queues let's start with the negatives. Pools are freezing and so cold that you cannot get in, even the indoor one is cold. The hotel is hilly and lots of steps so people with mobility issues will struggle. The food is bad. For vegetarian lack of hot foodz just salads. The Italian alacarte tried to make us vegetarian pasta which was nice but stone cold. The food in general even for my husband and son who eat meat wasn't great they found all the hot food cold as well. Staff are ok. Not as friendly as some of the other hotels I stayed in..

Terrible holiday ruined by the queues for food in the main restaurant. Queue inside for cold pasta, soggy vegetables etc then have to queue outside for BBQ doner meat which had been put in cold tureens. Breakfast had queues again - never saw a freshly cooked egg. Food trays not replenished so if you go in the restaurant late there’s no food left. Food and plates cold. We had to clear our own tables and get our own cutlery. Noisy trolleys laden with dirty plates and food debris wheeled next to diners every two minutes. Families unable to eat together as one parent queuing whilst the other watched the children. Hygiene poor, tables not cleaned and debris wiped onto the floor. No managers present or anyone checking the food temperatures. Complained to customer service and offered the a la cartes but only two open and food quality not good and cold. We ate at lunchtime at the snack bar where basic snacks were served and better than the main restaurant. Been to Turkey many times and this hotel has the worst food. Good points - the hotel is in a beautiful location which we knew of having visited the area before. The staff are very friendly but are overworked and understaffed hence the queues at bars and lack of service in the restaurant. Management need to be more visible and take control - particularly in the main restaurant.

pool activities were fun, room was good and clean, food was decent , great view with balcony bar staff were nice , night time entertainment was good for end of season with dj, live music and quizzes , beach area is good with private cabanas and water sports , would come back !!!
