Absolutely amazing
This was Our Second time at this hotel as a family, the staff are incredible, grounds are kept clean and well maintained, we had a couple of minor issues which were dealt with adequately, one issue which was addressed with management is the way a couple of the reception staff behave towards guest (rude, rolling eyes , interrupted conversation with other staff ) but once we had made manager aware he may have spoken to the individual concerned and we never had this issue again.
safi from guest relations is a huge credit to the hotel she is understanding, helpful, friendly and just an all round amazing person, along with the other staff members they do a fantastic job and i think it’s great that they walk round and check if everything is okay and if you need anything.
The luggage guys are great, so helpful amin was brilliant.
The food is good always a good selection, and if you have any dietary requirements they do there best to accommodate your needs ,the food can start to become repetitive after 2 weeks but still good and fresh. The chefs do amazing ,very hard working.
The fresh pizzas are great although not the hotels fault but certain guests are rude and have no manners and don’t know what a queue is and take whole pizzas even if there are people in line waiting that have been there 10 mins , same with the chips in the snack bar gets very frustrating.
The pasta station in both toucan and restro are great,
always something to eat 24 hour desert bar that has rolls, pastries, cakes , ice cream , coffees is great you will never go hungry.
The waiting staff are amazing work very hard, and can’t do enough for you , Ahmed in particular from the toucan restaurant is the most amazing human being you will meet he is always happy to help, nothing is to much trouble, my children love him he always makes them smile, can’t do enough for you, very friendly and always takes time to greet you at every meal time, thank you Ahmed you really are a credit to the hotel.
Gamil the manager from restro is a great guy very accommodating, friendly, helpful, always shakes your hand and greets you as you arrive , helps to find you a table if it is busy nothing is to much trouble, he is doing a fantastic job at keeping the restaurant running smoothly and if you have an issues he is happy to listen and help. If you are going on an excursion and are going to miss breakfast / lunch you can request at reception for them to make you something up and it is brilliant we had rolls, pastries, fruit, bottle water and a juice, more than enough to keep you going.
The pool area is kept clean and maintained loads of sunbeds, if you don’t want to be bothered by the people selling the spas & excursions you can ask for a red flag so they know to leave you alone but if I am honest we had a red flag and still got bothered a couple of times another family had same issue and told us they complained to staff and it was resolved.
There are numerous pools , a jacuzzi and 2 lots water slides great fun for the children or adults, couple of kids splash areas with mini slides , there are small goals in the main pool also for the kids to play ball this was great fun , they do aqua aerobics some mornings in the main pool which is fab, an issue we had a couple of times is people complaining they got splashed whilst being right at the front of the swimming pool where children are playing even though there are plenty of other sun loungers / areas away from the water where they wouldn’t get wet, but this didn’t really interfere with our family as well as other families having fun it was just pathetic and annoying especially when they want to swear at children which I overheard if you don’t want to get splashed may I add accidentally don’t sit at the pool front.
Lifeguards are good but I do feel they need to be more vigilant with watching the pool instead of talking with certain guests or being easily distracted, and the guys from the pool bar decide who they want to talk to and bring drinks to, which again can become annoying especially when you need to ask something and they by pass you and ignore you.
Snack bar staff are fabulous especially haitham he is a big character always joking around making people laugh, does an amazing job ,very helpful, can’t do enough for you, goes above and beyond any issues he is happy to help and sort them out, celebrated a birthday whilst on holiday and he done me a lovely table with decorations, balloons, flowers and arranged a birthday cake for me and got up to sing on stage, absolutely amazing. Credit to the hotel.
The cleaners do a fabulous job at keeping the place clean and tidy especially ibrahim he is such a genuine kind man, always smiling and happy , honestly cheers you up as soon as you see him , I don’t think the cleaners get enough credit for what they do.
The room we had was good it was clean, tidy, spacious , showers are good, great size balcony with patio furniture , lovely view over the pool and sea, fresh towels daily, bottled water daily, if you need anything house keeping are happy to help such as we were getting bitten at night by mosquitoes and they supplied us with spray for the room and it stopped the mosquitoes.
The designs on the beds with the towels are fantastic we had some amazing ones really talented guys.
The entertainment staff do the most amazing job day and night , Ella was fabulous our daughter loved her, tona is the funniest guy always joking, and loves to do magic , such a nice guy, all of them are. Put on some great shows in the evening and they try to get everyone involved with what they put on during the day , Olympic Games, belly dancing, yoga, stretching, aqua aerobics and so much more , the evening discos are good and the kids show at the start of the night, they are doing fantastic well done team. I can’t remember all the names but all of them are equally amazing.
The chill out bar is nice and the shisha is good huge selection of flavours and they keep checking to make sure it is okay and you are happy.
Booking the al a carte was a nightmare for some guests as it was fully booked but we were lucky enough to get a booking for wazuzu and for the Italian.
Wazuzu was not for us , the food was okay just not what we expected and didn’t really like it and the service was very slow, would not go here again.
Italian was amazing the food was beautiful, service was brilliant, and atmosphere great only thing not to our liking was the desert but everyone is different. Would 100% eat here again.
There are Football goals, table tennis, swing ball, volley ball , small play area all down by the beach and a beach bar , the beach is nice, water is lovely you can go out snorkelling or sit on the swing in the water even take a walk down the pier, plenty of sun loungers to sit on. They have an option to do kite surfing here aswel which was always quite busy.
Not sure if I have missed anything but thank you bellagio we had an amazing holiday this year and last year and if we decide to come back to Egypt again which I’m sure we will , we will definitely be booking with you again.
Not accommodating
My stay at the Bellagio Hotel has been underwhelming, to say the least. On arrival, my brother (27) and I (30) were assigned a room with a single king-size bed, which was clearly unsuitable. When we requested a twin room, the only solution was to bring in a temporary single bed. Unfortunately, this makeshift bed resembled a hospital cot, and the mattress was unbearably uncomfortable, full of lumps and bumps. When we asked to be moved to a different room, the request was refused, leaving us to awkwardly share the bed.
For anyone with dietary restrictions, this hotel is not accommodating. I have both dairy and gluten intolerances, and there were no clear labels on the food options. There were no separate stations for vegan or allergen-free foods, and staff seemed unaware of what contained dairy. Even basic options like dairy-free milk for coffee or cereal were unavailable, making meals a challenge.
Adding to the frustration, my brother and I were placed far from our family and friends, even though we booked together. This lack of attention to detail and coordination further dampened our experience.
Overall, the Bellagio Hotel failed to deliver a comfortable stay or cater to basic dietary needs. While the property might have a reputation for luxury, my experience was far from it. I’m looking forward to leaving and enjoying a proper meal and a good night’s sleep elsewhere.
