AZKA HOTEL

Hotel is located near towncenter, very close to many major places. It has a lovely beach and ambiance including restaurant, bar and pool area. Rooms are really comfortable, they have many pillow options, which is really important for me to have a good sleep. Food is deliciousand and people are really friendly We had great time, will definitely visit again, many thanks to everyone :)

Great hotel and service. Was 99% Turkish so not full of English, which we preferred. Food- excellent buffet and beach bar. Quality fresh salads meat and fish. They did have chips but otherwise no English food. Cakes were stunning. Drink. Selected branded when we were there was Ballantines, Johnny Walker Red label and J&B for whisky. Bacardi and Captain Morgans rum. So good choice and big measures, Service was good. But some staff could not speak or understand much English. Hotel grounds were beautiful and scenery was amazing. 6 hotels share this bay and there is a water taxi to the marina. Every 20ins approx. Walk through The Prive Hotel Gardens to the end and there is a platform for it. 100 TL each way so good price. Room was good. Air conditioning worked and did cool the room down fairly quickly. All inclusive deal was brilliant only cost is the al la carte resturant but we did not go ( cover charge). But we could have done with more info when we got there, map to show where things were in Hotel and about water taxi etc. But overall amazing Hotel, would go back.

A really nice hotel in the end. Once we were moved to our correct room that we had booked and spent one night in a dingy room that we hadn't booked with no balcony and no views... then the stay improved enormously. The buffet was a surprise, and it exceeded our expectations... the mains aren't great, but the starters, salads and deserts are divine. Ordering drinks is easy. The wifi is strong. The beach is gorgeous, albeit packed and jammed in and so very tightly packed with sunbed chairs but it's clean crystal clear water and feels safe to leave your belongings whilst you swim. There's plenty of food stations around the hotel and drink bars/stations. The location is really close to Bodrum and there's even a water taxi just down the beach that you can get into town and it's a gorgeous little ride past the castle. The hotel is old, and needs a bit of revamp, but it's clean and it's huge so the staff are running it well and there's enough support of staff around if you need them. The room ( once we got our proper room on the 2nd night) was lovely, comfortable, quiet, with a great balcony and sea views, with a very comfy bed - but the pillows are too fat and there's no sheets - we had to keep asking for sheets for the bed to lay under ( not the mattress sheet, but a sheet to sleep with). The all-inclusive thing is very strange to us ( Australians) and we don't normally do this, but it works and it was good value. But - be warned - our check-in experience was HECTIC!!! There were about 30 people checking in in one large family. Our room wasn't ready for our arrival, so we had to wait an hour. When i went back to get my key, the poor receptionist was being slammed by all of these people trying to check them in - albeit giving us a key to a terrible, dingy room at the bottom of the hotel, with no balcony and very small and no light, and no ocean view. NOT what we had booked. When we complained there were no spare rooms to move us to - and so they ended up moving us to an excellent room on our 2nd night and we had 3 more sleeps in the correct room that we had actually booked which was lovely. This didn't set us up for a great first perception of the hotel There was no one to help us check in, show us around, show us the room, and to be honest, we were pretty upset, but the reception staff fixed it the next day, and redeemed themselves and once we had a great room with balcony, we were very very happy. Also there's no sheets on the bed, just these thin blankets and the pillows are fat - so that was odd we had to keep asking for sheets. Also there's no English TV channels, and also the beach is rather crowded, even though we always managed to find two sunbeds on the beach, it's very very squished in, but it's lovely water and so worth sitting amongst the crowd.

Azka hotel, Bodrum….Beautiful 5 star hotel but they completely ripped us off and did not deliver on what we paid huge money for! Here’s what happened to us… We booked and paid for the room called ‘The Business Suite’ which had a sauna and a Jacuzzi. We messaged the hotel prior to arrival to make sure that we were getting the room in the booking.com photos, they confirmed this room for us. We did not recieve this room untill the afternoon of the 4th day. For Four days out of our 7 days we were unable to have a lie in, we also had no room everyday between 10am and 3pm. When we eventually did get the correct room the Sauna and Jacuzzi were unfit for purpose, so their was no point of paying for this room as the whole point of us booking this room was to have the jacuzzi and sauna. Sept 11: arrived at hotel, they told us that the room we booked was not available untill the next day. They showed us to a different room and told us to check out of that room by 11am. 12th Sept: We packed up and checked out at 10am, we were told to come back at 3 to check into the Business suite. We returned at 3pm, and they brought us to a room that they called ‘the business Suite’ … this was not the room we confirmed we were getting. They tried to insist this was the room and it was a business suite until i showed them the confirmation of my message of how many suites they had, to which they only had the one. They said we had to stay there that night and we would definately have our correct room the next day. 13th Sept: We checked out and returned the key, they confirmed we were getting our correct room at 3pm. We returned to reception at 3pm to be told we have to return to the the room we were in and we would get the correct room the following day. I asked for an iron as our clothes were very creased from us living out of our cases for 3 days, we were told they had no irons but they gave us a laundry bag and invited us to drop our clothes to reception in the morning and they would iron it free of charge. 14th Sept: we packed up yet again and returned the key to reception by 10am. We also dropped our bag of ironing. We returned at 3pm and they finally gave us the keys to the room that we paid for. We decided to have a Jacuzzi but it would not work. We called maintenance for a few problems including the 2 main features of the room. After some time they found an issue with the power to the jacuzzi, he found this out by using an extension lead and plugged it in beside the bed. We collected the ironing but to our total disappointment they had not ironed any of the items, the bag was returned to us the same way as we gave it. 15th Sept: we tried to have a jacuzzi but the water spilled out from under the jacuzzi where the plug was located! We were afraid of getting electrocuted so we did not try to use the jacuzzi again. We tried to have a sauna but the door would not close so the sauna could not retain heat or steam so was useless. We had shown the door to the maintenance guy but he did not fix it. We tried several times to speak to the manager over the 7 days but she refused to talk to us, we were asked for our number numerous times and told she would call us but she never did. We insisted that we wanted to talk to the manager before we left for the airport and we were told that this would be arranged but still did not happen until our taxi arrived. I have messaged the property after arriving home but still no contact from them

Beautiful suite. Choice of pillows make all the difference to a good nights sleep. Rooms well soundproofed. Fantastic pool. Staff friendly and very helpful. Any problem dealt with quickly. We arrived as restaurant was closing and asked for a sandwich, the restaurant manager insisted we chose a meal and set a table and served us including wine. Wonderful greeting. Great location, beautiful views a very regular small ferry to Bodrum marina shops and night life.
