AYDINBEY GOLD DREAMS

On arrival we was greeted by staff that helped with the bags, being a late arrival only food was late night supper which we found was medium heat soup and stall bread. The pools and slides were great for the kids. The pool bar staff were shocking and rude and favourited guest better than others allowing people to skip the queue while you’ve waited patiently. The entertainment around the pool in the day was exactly the same for 8 day like ground hog day! Lunch time food in the main dinner hall only catered for adults, nowhere else serving food which we thought there would be booking the holiday, this was due to end of season. Children survived on fruit and salad if found. We ate out every night we was there so the children would have a decent meal. The waiting staff were rude and would start cleaning up around you without asking, and instead of speaking, hand and finger jesters would be used to help us. Evening entertainment was again same every night and seemed like the evening staff would be more rude then the day time staff. Maybe it’s because we went at a time where the season was ending but I believe the service and actives should be same all year round for all guests. Room cleaning and bed making was absolutely dreadful, some day bed wouldn’t be made or changed. Some Days we had to ask for fresh towels We as a family wouldn’t personally go back to this hotel, as we felt like a burden being there, where when we’ve gone to Turkey before at the same time of year to other hotels, the children were confident to speak to bar staff if they wanted a drink and were brilliant making their holiday as well as the parents time a pleasure. When we went out we found the local people really friendly and helpful in all ways, food eating out was good, at places traditional Turkish food but also had the likes of McDonald’s and Burger King near by for the kids if they wanted that. Average food bill would be around €30-40 that’s starter and mains for 5 of us. Alcohol was a bit more expensive per drink but is available if you wanted, soft drinks were cheap enough.

Arrived at hotel around 10:30pm offered no drinks or food, we were advised the late snacks would be at 11:30, we went down to find mayby 4 dishes all in edible and some bottled water so all went to bed hungry, the next day we went for breakfast basically nothing for English taste have to cut your own bread and toast it. Ate what we could then went to the pools. Pools are amazing but slides really fast and bridge is dangerous, everything served on plastic at the pool bar que can take a while to go down as only 1 person serving. Slides are great for the kids and 2 life guards watching. Entertainment around the pool is good but it's the same every day for 10 days no change. People do reserve loungers near the quite pool but we only struggled one day to get a lounger. absolutely nothing to do around the hotel but shop. Food is terrible we ate out most nights, green haven, blue shark and big ben all good.Entertainment is not until 21:15 for the mini disco again same every night. Adult entertainment was really good some nights but didnt start until 22:00. Ice cream only served from 14:30 until 16:30 always queuing. Pizza at kingdom bar was good but burgers basic with no cheese. Would not return to this hotel.

I have to say that I have mixed feelings about the experience because there were good things and bad things as well. The bad stuff: - When we arrived at 3 am after a 11 hours flight delay I noticed the heavily trafficked road near the hotel so the only thing I asked the hotel receptionist was to NOT give me a room facing the heavily trafficked road, so after checking all the people in our group I went to the room and saw that it was facing directly the heavily trafficked road... I went back the reception because I heard the super loud noises made by the cars passing by, and they told that they know the room and that it's not noisy... :| and that they don't have any other room... The room had only the balcony door, and no windows, you could close that to mitigate some of the noises but you would have no air and the temperature in the room would make it impossible for you to sleep. There was the air conditioner that was facing the bed so if you turned it on it would blow the air straight on you + it was making noises like there was a super storm outside when it was on .... after 2 days it was making noises even when it was off :)) I reported the issue, a tech guy came and it said: "It's normal" :| So long story short, I woke up at least 20 times per night due to revving engines, car honks and heavy brakes. Our friends were facing the heavy trafficked road as well but they were facing the night bar as well and because they were on the first floor they heard the drunk people singing and loud noises as well, we were on the 4th floor so we didn't get that - I booked a room for 4 , my wife and me +2 kids age 11 and 8, the room had a double bed + 1 single bed ... identical to the rooms of the families with 3 people... so after 30 minutes of checking in they brought us a rollaway bed and we had to move some furniture on the balcony in order to have room for the bed .... and the single bed had a spring mattress that you can feel them really, really well. - The beach was crowded and had a steep entry, and the water was murky ( you could barely see 20 cm in it). The space of the beach was limited and there were like 3 hotels in a 50 m long beach, and because the water level grew quickly most of the people were packed in the same are, especially the kids, but you couldn't stay in the first 2 -3 m in the water because of the rocks, there were rocks in the water, you could hurt or cut your feet in it ( my daughter got a cut from them) or the constant waves near the shore could carry the stones and hit you with them resulting in bruises. If you were not afraid to go further from the beach there were less or no people and the waves were not an issue The good stuff: - Food was really great, you had a lot of options and they had main restaurant + bars near the beach, pool and garden, no matter what type of diet you have a culinary preference you have there was something good for you to eat - WI-FI signal was incredible, everywhere you went you had wi-fi signal even on the beach which was not so close to the hotel, I haven't tested the bandwidth, but for reading emails, reading online articles or talking with friends and family online was great, compared to other places where you had signal only in the hotel lobby. - The pools were really nice and clean and they had water slides as well, and had different activities throughout the day like darts, yoga, water dance, night events - The staff was polite and helpful, they worked really hard to make everything smooth, especially the kitchen staff and waiters, a bit hard to communicate in english but not impossible ( I think they spoke russian better ), they had lifeguards on the beach and near the pool and water slides So as a conclusion if you don't care about the beach and if you are a heavy sleeper or don't care about loud noises, or you manage to get a room that is not facing the night bar and highway, and you just want to eat / drink and stay at the pool then it's a really great place, if not ...stay away, after 1 week of poor sleep I was broken, needed a couple of days to recuperate so this vacation was not fun for me, sleep quality > good food. We have booked for a two week vacation. We have been on two excursions one to the big kral and another to the green canyon, both were extremely good. Reception is very good also. Most staff are extremely happy to help too. This is except for one man who seems to be an evening worker in the restaurant. He is the tall old guy who just walks around being aggressive to the visitors he has taken a dislike to. He was nasty to my young child of 4 who was the last of my family of 5 to be finishing their dessert last night. At exactly 9pm he passed our table checked his watch and immediately returned and started barking about the restaurant being closed, i understand there are opening times for the restaurant but after belittling us he never said anything to several other people who were in couples and only just getting their food .. one couple just a table away from ours. This makes me concerned that he simply doesn't like women/single mothers. I have another 5 days here and Its making me anxious to go for food. i have 3 children under 5 with me and my older son who is on the spectrum. As you can imagine i do not wish them to see or experience such behaviours especially when introducing them to another culture/country. I will update this review as i will be complaining about this man's actions towards my family. Other than this one person, so far everyone is happy, lovely and helpful. Shame he should it all.

I would not recommend this hotel. It is not a 5* . The food is almost the same every day, not various, room basic, beach is awful. I asked for an iron and they said that I need to pay for ironing 10 euro for a dress...which I found unfair..I have been to different hotels in different locations and the iron was provided for free. Not the best experience..
