Worst hotel ever. We requested two single beds, but we were given one giant bed. We reported this at the reception and were told there were no other rooms available (which was a lie, because the hotel was empty, and it had six floors). When we entered the room, we noticed an unbearable smell. Turns out, it was coming from the 100-year-old furniture. In the shower, everything was falling apart. I don't even want to talk about the toilet. It looked as if someone had melted it down, and it was also 100 years old. The walls of the room were so thin that you could hear everything, including how the cleaning staff slammed the doors every day. You’d think the cleaning staff would actually clean, but no, the only thing they did was make the beds, and that was it. Additionally, there was constant noise from outside. We were there just a week ago, so at a time when it wasn't that warm anymore. When we asked if the air conditioning could be turned up, we were told it wasn’t possible. Instead, they gave us an ancient space heater that smelled bad. We also checked out the restaurant on the top floor, and I was shocked. It smelled again, there was no ventilation, and it was just hot up there. All the heat seemed to be trapped in that room. It was impossible to eat there. The interior was also terrible and outdated. Honestly, there is nothing good to say about this hotel. Four stars? I don’t know how this hotel could be rated four stars.

I can't say enough about this boutique hotel. We arrived in the morning from our flight from the US, and they were able to get us a room right away. Much needed sleep. The room was clean and modern. A few channels in English. It was quiet. The refrigerator had water and soda, and the bathroom had amenities such as basic toiletries. Safe in the closet. After a good sleep, we were ready to explore. The staff could not have been more helpful and kind. It is an easy walk, about 10 minutes to the Acropolis. You can walk to all of the neighborhoods with ease or hop the metro. We ate at the hotel restaurant and it was fantastic. It is inside, which for late October is perfect. You have a beautiful view of the Acropolis and Parthenon. When it was time to leave, they arranged the cab pick up cur side and assisted with our luggage. Really enjoyed staying here.

This hotel was clean and staff were so helpful and friendly. Everytime we came to the elevators they would open the doors for us with a smile They confirmed our transfers for us and were all round a perfect hotel to stay! Room cleanliness was immaculate

Breakfast was exceptional. Room was clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the coffee, high-end tea, and the balcony seating in the room. Front desk was very nice and helpful and provided orientation and a taxi. Great location within walking distance to the Temple of Zeus, the Plaka District, and the Acropolis. In fact, the roof top restaurant has an excellent view of the Acropolis. Recommend lamp chops on the menu

I'm stunned that other travellers rate this hotel so highly. The standard rooms are poorly renovated; there is street noise from the Main Street all night long; the breakfast buffet is lacking in fresh, healthy alternatives and the location is not convenient. Bathrooms are poorly designed - the tub is a hazard for people with mobility issues. Front desk staff were lovely and helpful; staff in the rooftop bar were arrogant and rude. We left after being studiously ignored by three waiters for ten minutes (it was not busy). Given so many other fabulous venues in Athens, I would not stay here again. I think its success is due to your companies who get some kind of deal. Would not recommend.
