AMARA FAMILY RESORT

Stayed at this 1* hotel as a birthday treat- its not 5* and the amenities don’t match their false advertising either!!.. all the staff speak Russian, if you need anything in English they pull out their translation phone or simply walk away!!. We arrived at 9pm and told to go to the Bistro that is open 24hrs… went down to a closed Bistro that apparently opens at 12am and only serves fries!!!- horrendous Rooms are smelly, dated and broken. Food is tasteless and warmed from day before- same food choices every day- desperately looked for another hotel to stay- please don’t waste your money staying at this awful place

Rooms are in very urgent need of refurbishing , if you speak English or any other language , besides of Russian , this hotel is not for you ! you hardly find one of stuff that can speak English ..besides , some of them are a bit rude ! Food after 2-3 days , you had it , because does not change ! i found , that most people working in this facility , dont have the right training or skills to work on this type of business !

So me and my family attended the Amara Family Resort and can honestly say it was one of the best holidays we have ever been on. During my review i will go through what we thought was good about the hotel but what we also believe from travelling to so many countries some suggestions Amara could do to make it even better. Kids pools were really really good and up there with the best we have ever encountered. Every morning there was never any issues getting a sunbed. The lifeguards were fantastic and so friendly. Food was unbelievable and probably the best we have ever experienced during any all inclusive holiday we have ever stayed. The amount of choice available was fantastic and even with the couple of fussy eaters in our family of 9 there was always something every night for everyone. My only suggestion would be to have desserts for people from other countries. The desserts that were there i have never seen or had in England before. The snack bar by the pool was brilliant and the amount of choice was so good. Pizza, Chips, Nuggets, Onion Rings, Kebabs, Jacket Potatoes, Waffles and Ice cream. Also icelollies are available 24/7. I would also like to give thanks to our waiter, Sefa. He was one of only a few that spoke really good English and he made us feel so welcome every night and couldnt do enough to make our stay special. Thank you Sefa, you are a real credit to Amara Family Resort. Our room was really good and spacious. Our room was cleaned every day with fresh towels left. The cleaners were always very polite and hardworking. I would suggest though that the Amara could invest in more cupboard space for visitors, there was me, my wife and daughter in our room but one wardrobe for two weeks was not enough space for our clothes which meant we had to live out of our suitcases. Again sets of drawers etc would be beneficial. There was two negatives from our trip, one was we was charged €300 to have a standard room in the main building, in my opinion this should be free of charge if you have them available at the time of check in. You should not have to pay extra to stay in the main building especially if it is the same room and not an upgrade. My other negative was the italian A La Carte Restaraunt. We ate at this restaraunt on one occasion and it was basic at best. We had to tell them what main we wanted the day before, everyone had the same starters and desserts and the beer was served out of a pepsi bottle and was warm. A La Carte for me is that extra bit special but the quality of food was sp much better in the buffet restaraunt. The location of this hotel in brilliant. You are a €12 taxi ride to Side old town. Which if you have never been before, is a must. The town is stunning. Lots of shops, restaraunts and the ruins is stunning. Right outside the hotel there are lots of shops and there is two bars two minutes walk up the road which were brilliant. Especially as they showed all football matches. We will definately book again to the Amara Family Resort. We had such a fantastic holiday.

This is not a five star resort, on arrival went to our rooms pillows were dirty, bugs in the bed, they cannot speak English, Wer not helpful at all, ppl with dietary needs should avoid this place, head chef was so rude I do not think it is a five star resort.

That was my first holiday in Turkey and I can honestly recommend hotel to everyone. Staff is very friendly and always happy to help with anything. Food is amazing and suite all tastes. Excellent service. Clean swimming pools and many areas available to enjoy. Kubra was always near by to support time in hotel.
