Definitely not a 5 star and dated
OK were to start .. arrived late and the welcome put us off straight away .. you have to pay extra for the WiFi and the safe in your room .. although it was not mentioned nor stated when we choose this hotel .. tried to see next day guest relations in order to raise my concern and was refused by guest service manager and advised to seek my rep ( which was not onsite as we booked in the UK) then a Hotel Representative from guest service Relations male will not mention his name but his name starts with B …n , was going around pool etc with his little tiny book shirt half of his trousers and dry foam on his mouth asking everyone how they can make improvements.. well he was not going into the issues and basically said best hotel and so on and with safe and WiFi has been since 25 years and talking about his experience.. then seen him with a very nice manager food and beverage at the entrance from main restaurant.. asking how things are B was standing with him .. so he interrupted and was not really greatly listen as he still had his foam at his mouth and had body odour.. stated to the manager my issue and B interrupted yet again .. until I said that I wish not talking to him .. so he was still going on how good the hotel is and how perfectly everyone things the hotel is … until I said .. don’t get me started in how to treat guests, as I work in a very similar industry in guest relation. which seems the other manager felt embarrassed and left .. this B humiliated me in front of everyone.. so back in the lobby drunk woman from Czech Republic’s sneezed and had all snot running down wiped it on one of the chairs then blew more snot in her hand and wiped again on the chair .. reported to reception.. nothing was done as the dirty chair was there next morning and then moved to another area .. lobby furniture dated and filthy .. some staff very nice and rest seem stressed and tired … our room was ok without an area were you can hang Coates just wardrobe.. Balkony not really suited for two people .. facilities very dated .. dining areas outside cramped and table cloths bleached by sun .. Upon our arrival, we encountered several issues that significantly impacted our experience in this establishment. We arrived late, and the initial welcome was uninviting. It was disappointing to discover that there were additional charges for WiFi and the in-room safe, information that was not disclosed when we selected this hotel. The following day, I attempted to address my concerns with guest relations, but the guest service manager declined to assist and suggested I contact my representative, who was not present since we booked from the UK.
A male hotel representative, whose name begins with "B," was seen circulating around the pool area, dressed inappropriately with a half-tucked shirt and dry foam on his mouth, soliciting feedback on potential improvements. However, he did not engage with the specific issues I raised and instead insisted that the hotel was the best, citing its long-standing practices regarding the safe and WiFi. I later observed him with a food and beverage manager at the main restaurant entrance. When I attempted to discuss my concerns, "B" interrupted repeatedly, and despite my request to exclude him from the conversation, he continued to extol the hotel's virtues. This led me to express my dissatisfaction with how guests are treated, which seemed to embarrass the other manager, prompting him to leave. I felt humiliated by "B" in front of other guests.
Additionally, I witnessed a woman from the Czech Republic in the lobby who sneezed and carelessly wiped her nose on a chair, which I reported to reception. Unfortunately, no action was taken, as the soiled chair remained in place the following morning before being relocated. The lobby furniture appeared outdated and unclean, and while some staff members were pleasant, others seemed overwhelmed and fatigued. Our room was adequate, lacking a designated area for hanging coats, and the balcony was not suitable for two people. Overall, the facilities were in need of modernization, and the outdoor dining areas felt cramped and cluttered The white clothing was soiled, and I found myself waiting for the table to be cleaned while the staff engaged in conversation with one another. In the morning, the cleaners were excessively loud from 6:30 AM to approximately 8:30 AM, showing a lack of consideration for guests. There was constant knocking on doors, slamming of trolleys, and the sound of vacuuming. Although I raised this issue, the noise reduction lasted only two days. Guests were also quite loud in the corridors, despite the need for signage to remind them that others might be sleeping.
An elderly man became trapped in the lift, prompting me to rush to the reception for assistance. Unfortunately, no one responded immediately, causing him to panic. I took the initiative to help him out. Additionally, a significant number of guests, including my husband and myself, experienced sickness and diarrhea, accompanied by fever. An elderly woman was so unwell that she lay on the bathroom floor of her room for twelve hours and ultimately required hospitalization. We were aware of at least forty other individuals affected by this illness.
One evening, I was introduced to the Operations Manager, who was exceptionally friendly. He addressed the concerns I raised, apologized for the inconveniences, and sent complimentary gifts to our room. He also waived the charges for the safe and Wi-Fi, which was a nice gesture. However, I never received an apology from this particular Employee “B”itself. Which I believe this person requires refreshments in customer relations training, specifically objection handling and taking criticism…
Furthermore the entertainment offered was lacking, and while it is acknowledged that it is the end of the season, a certain level of enjoyment is still expected. The activities commence at 9 PM for children and conclude at 11 PM, which is when the fun typically begins; however, this timing poses a challenge for other guests who have rooms nearby and wish to rest. It is possible that the entertainment improves during the summer season, as it appears that many regular guests, particularly elderly individuals, are arriving, and a significant portion of the staff has departed.
The path to the beach was quite slippery, and my friend, along with others, nearly lost their footing due to the patched-up surface, which posed tripping hazards and was unsuitable for elderly guests. I questioned why there was no buggy service available for those who needed assistance. The furniture at the beach bar was dirty and uncomfortable, and the bars emitted unpleasant odors of mildew. Dirty glasses were commonplace, even when served, and the cutlery was unclean. Many plates and other crockery were broken, and the sunbeds were moldy, with towels only being changed between 8 AM and 1 PM, despite staff being present. The spa services were overpriced. Overall, this establishment does not meet the standards of a five-star rating, despite its claim to have a spa and particularly put us off going to Turkey again … although we’ve been to much nicer areas .. but made us thinking for the price we’ve paid .. more then other countries like Germany.. don’t worry I have researched prices .. and UK prices for this hotel is approximately € 600.00 more .

Our stay at Alba Resort was fantastic.The hotel offers everything for a memorable family vacation ,spacious rooms, delicious food, a beautiful beach just steps away, and friendly staff always ready to help. The kids loved the pools and activities, while we enjoyed relaxing by the sea. Can’t wait to return.

An Unforgettable Holiday Experience🫶🫶🫶
I had a truly wonderful holiday; all the staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and attentive. The service was outstanding, with the team taking great care to make sure we had everything we needed. The variety of food was excellent, with delicious options at every meal, and the Turkish night was unforgettable – the presentation and flavors were simply fantastic, adding a special touch to the evening.
The hotel’s landscaping and pathways were beautifully designed, allowing us to feel close to nature at every turn. The beach area was spacious and open, offering a perfect place to relax. The animation team brought so much joy to our stay, keeping us entertained throughout the day with fun activities and delivering truly impressive, professional shows in the evening.
I’m already looking forward to returning next April to experience this amazing vacation once again! Thank you to everyone for such a wonderful holiday.🫶🫶🫶
