ALBA QUEEN HOTEL

Just returned from a lovely 10 day holiday at Alba Queen hotel and would definitely recommend this hotel. We arrived late at night and were greeted by a lovely man on reception who checked us in, we made our way to the rooms and were struggling to work the air con so the luggage boy was very helpful and showed us ( balcony door must be closed and there is a slight delay when turning it on if the balcony has been open). We were happy to find they did a midnight snack with just a couple of good options, bread, cheese, eggs etc. There is lots of information around the hotel saying it was forbidden to reserve sun loungers before 8am, although there were plenty of sun loungers people were often poolside before 8am. The hotel provides you with a card to exchange for a towel to use, which can be changed daily between 8 and 12 at the wellness centre. Rooms were very clean and spacious with a free minibar containing water, fanta, sprite which was refilled daily. Pool was nice and large and it was kept very clean around the pool and bin areas. Meals really exceeded our expectations with lots of choice at every meal. Fresh omelettes for breakfast, you could eat lunch at the main restaurant which was a buffet or the pool or beach bar which was a menu to order from. You could order pizzas, burgers, noodles, chicken nuggets, chips etc. Ice creams acailable at the pool bar and beach bar 2-4pm and waffles in the beach bar 2-4pm. Evening meal was buffet style but always lots of choice and all the meals were lovely. We didn't eat at the a la carte restaurants due to the main restaurant being so good. Drinks in the restaurants were table service and all the waiters and waitresses went above and beyond with service, especially Akmet who really looked after us during our stay, preparing a table for us and memorising all our drinks orders. Akmet never let our glasses get empty, he is a real credit to the hotel. Checkout was 12 o clock and unfortunately we were unable to keep our rooms gor late check out but the wellness centre had shower facilities we could use. Safes in the room were 2 euros a day. There were some good shops in the hotel, all reasonably priced and friendly staff. The hotel is located a couple of minutes walk to the beach where there is a private area for the hotel with some self serve machines for drinks. Water sports were availablr on the beach which we did and really enjoyed (parasailing, speed boat ride and the sofa). We hot the dolmus outside the hotel to Side which was 2 euros each, about 30 minutes away from the hotel. There are plenty of shops near the hotel if you come out of the hptel and turn left, some great bag and clothes shops but don't forget to haggle!

The animator are the best, they came with the best and happy smile in the face: vollyesball was perfect and super fun, the rooms were also very good and good men here. I loved the food much different options. It was always clean and looking good.

We are on our 4th day here so far and are having a wonderful time. The hotel is fantastic. Every staff member we have encountered has been friendly and helpful and the food and availability is fabulous , my favourite is the fresh honeycomb at breakfast. Lovely beach, and plenty of pool loungers. The visitors are predominantly German but that’s ok! Clean and tidy. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Very good food, beautiful beach, very friendly personal, fun party’s and kareoke, clean swimming pool, and ati is an legend!

Great hotel. Food excellent, pool large, beer lovely, surroundings beautiful. The thing that impressed me most was the staff. They all seemed to really enjoy being there (it was the opening week of the season I must add), and had a good tone with the guests at all times. This is a sign that they are paid correctly and treated well, which is important to the experience for someone like myself. A special mention has to go to the mini club where our youngest son spent most of his holiday as he loves drawing. Those girls are wonderful with children and, again, seem to genuinely enjoy doing what they do. They had a couple of extra activities there which makes for a nice holiday memento like painting your own t-shirt (complete with a medal and a certificate). The only negative was that our family got woken up at 2am by a family in one of the rooms around us "messing around" (little kids running around, screaming and shouting but sounded like they were having fun). Really bizarre. Hardly heard a sound from the other rooms after that so I have no idea what happened there, but if the walls are that thin this could absolutely be a problem when your neighbours are grown ups enjoying the all inclusive facilities until the small hours (we were in the very obvious kids section with bunk beds). Should be noted that this is basically a German hotel with 90% + guests speaking German. Not an issue for us, but if you are going on holiday to socialise with other guests you will need to speak German at this hotel. They were very good at changing the food options each day, so it didn't taste like typical buffet food. Way way better. Was our first time in Turkey and the staff were great ambassadors for their country. The entertainment team (animation as they call it) were very bubbly and energetic. An all round great experience.
