ACROPOLIS SELECT HOTEL

Such a lovely hotel with brilliant staff. Approaching on the street I was surprised when we got to the entrance, it's so well presented. Our room was nice and the hotel had left a treat for my boys as we were celebrating their birthday, such a thoughtful touch. The rooms have a hair dryer, mini fridge and little packs in the bathroom with tooth brushes. We had a pull out bed which was quite hard so I mentioned it at reception and housekeeping came up immediately with a mattress topper which was perfect. Breakfast was delicious, lots of choice and it was constantly being restocked so always plenty. We got a voucher for a free drink in the rooftop bar/restaurant so we went straight up on our first night and had a delicious meal with our drinks. The view of the Parthenon are amazing and the staff really nice, such a cozy setting. The only downside for me was the noise from the hallway, the walls are thin and I think I saw this in other reviews. It was great to have a little balcony, even though our view was the flats opposite, it was still nice.

It's a great location walking distance to Acropolis and many other tourist attractions. The rooftop patio is small, but a great view. Our room didn't have any type of view. The room was very clean, a reservation little on the smaller side, but it was perfect for what we needed. Staff was great and friendly.

Great room and comfy bed, great maid service every day. Room service is wonderful - loved moussaka and Greek salad, which I ate a lot of while staying there. Our room came with a terrace which gave us some extra space and a sitting area. The rooftop bar and restaurant were great - view of the Acropolis and neighborhoods, which gave us ideas for exploring. Great vibe and music several times a week at night. Downside: construction across the street so jackhammer noise most days. The breakfast buffet, apparently not connected with the rooftop restaurant, was very plain. Same things every day and machine coffee. Even the potatoes were nearly inedible. My husband took ill when we were there and they were very helpful in arranging a doctor visit, and allowing us to extend our stay.

The staff at the hotel continually went out of their way to be of assistance from the moment we pulled up outside. Our bags were carried in and kept secure until our formal check in several hours later, letting us explore the city and savor every minute. The room was so comfortable that, in another city or time, I would have easily stayed in all day. The location elevates the entire experience being only blocks from the Acropolis, stellar dining, and shopping.

Stayed our one night we had in Athens. Room had a balcony. Hotel had lots of safety features. Breakfast was extra-at least on our package. We had welcome tickets to dine at the restaurant on the top floor. Great food and great view of the acropolis.
