BALI BEACH & SOFIA VILLAGE

if it wasn't for the people I'd met ...the members of staff and the views I would have 💯% left.. a long flight and a 3hr transfer by coach had taken it's toll...was then directed to sofia house room 14 ..the view to the harbour were beautiful...the dam stairs to the room almost killed me...had a kettle and no cup's...so returned to reception and requested a new room...ended up with 135 next day thanks to the very polite receptionist...the balcony was a foot and a half wide but the views were amazing...the food is not great but if hungry you'll find something to fill a hole...otherwise go to the local bakery or mythos restaurant... the room was clean and served it's purpose...cleaning staff are beautiful and deserve respect and appreciation for the work they do under such circumstances... this is not a place for anyone with a disability or mobility issues...families with young children or babies should maybe think of a different hotel or destination...way too many stairs around the hotels ...and no lifts at all anywhere... won't ever return unfortunately and wouldn't recommend it 😕 😪

BEWARE!! HEALTH HAZARD HOTEL!! Went here for our honeymoon 16/10/2024 honestly I wouldn’t put a homeless person here. It’s so bad. Food is stone cold. Husband broke his toe on a leak in the bathroom from the toilet . And now upon return I have what looks to be scabies. I seen a cleaner just folding the sheets and blankets and putting them in a cupboard the day we were leaving so god nose how many people have slept in them. Lack of evening entertainment no life guards at pool. Staff very rude and don’t care. Ran out of Alcohol on an all inclusive holiday. Total shambles of a hotel with 1 million steps. And that’s not exaggerating in the slightest. Also kettle had mild growing inside. And hotel room full of ants.

This place is a shambles. It’s totally unacceptable for any company to recommend it. It’s dirty (cleaning staff do their best but they can’t clean what is in a bad need of specialist cleaning, repairs and updating) and old with so many broken areas around the pool area which are dangerously close to the pools. The food is diabolical, nothing is labeled and it’s cold, leftovers are served at lunch the following day. The scrambled eggs would bounce around all the Greek islands and back again. I requested an accessibility room due to me having mobility issues and my husband being visually impaired and they gave us a room across the road from the main hotel which had 96 steps upto the room. Most of the staff are lovely but Evangelina should NOT work in hospitality because she has no manner, she shouted at the guests and was damn right rude and moody constantly. The only thing that this hotel has going for it is its amazing views. I wasn’t expecting a top class hotel on a budget but this doesn’t even deserve a 1 star 💫 rating.

Rooms are dirty the same cold food everyday pool side was never clean staff were disgustingly rude reception was no help ants all in the rooms no one stayed in their allocated rooms everyone moved rooms to what they asked for asked for pool side got Mountain View On a better note I highly recommend Bali village the locals are lovely and everything you need with in the village located on a beach. If your standards are low and your honestly looking for a couple days in the sun and not bothered about the rooms and food because you’ll be eating out it’s okay to use the shower and a poor bed.

Misleading photos, the views are beautiful but the building is very run down, had mornings with no water, no electricity, food is awful, very basic and leftovers are brought out each day. Food is cold, choice is limited, dessert is melon everyday, cake was offered 2 days a week. No snacks available. Kettle in room but no cups or facilities. Had 107 steps to our room , unsuitable for old , young and disabled people. Some parts of the resort are very dangerous with very high drops and no safety barriers. Everyone we met there said they would never return. Someone is making a lot of money out of people , just skimming the sufrace and giving us the basics with no care at all, just money making and doing the bare essentials. No reputable company /holiday agency would every recommended this place to anyone unless they disliked them. Reception staff were very nice. Photo of the "lunchbox" given on our day out. Two bits of dry bread , a slice of cheese and meat stuck between dry bread with 1 apple and 1 orange, that's the all inclusive package.
