CORFU HOLIDAY PALACE

This is an old hotel just to get that out of the way out front. We stayed as a family of 5 - 2 adults and 3 kids in July 2024. We did have a nice stay - but I would say this hotel is very room dependent, we had a 2 bed suite with a huge balcony, amazing views, and a private pool which was totally worth it, since one is not really able to use the main hotel pool. The main hotel pool is very old and dirty looking - it could just be that its so old but its very dark and looks rusty around the edges. There are a couple of very nice restaurants on the edge the hotel that have great views of the planes coming in and nice food that are worth going to. The restaurant at the hotel was fine for breakfast - which was busy buffet every morning - but lots of choice and very nice. As others have mentioned this hotel is a good base for exploring Corfu and would totally recommend it if you can get a room with a private pool. There is also a funicular railway down to the small beach on the property. Also note it is very close to the airport and planes come in about every hour or so - and normally this would annoy me, however it didn't here - perhaps because they were not too frequent and the views were amazing! Our stay here was perfect in every way. On arrival the staff were very friendly and due to our late flight they had even left food in our room so that we didn’t miss tea. The room was stunning with a view of the sea, and everything was clean and tidy. The room was cleaned every day. The food was better than expected, although produced in high volume everything was of great quality and we really enjoyed that there was always fresh fruit etc out. The timings are also really good as you can either get up to eat early and head into Corfu town, or you can have a later evening meal if you’re out during the day so you don’t have to worry about getting back. In terms of travelling, this hotel is in a great location. There are lots of car rentals but the main 2A bus to Corfu town has a stop just outside with very frequent buses, it’s just 2 euros to get into town. The bar was lots of fun on an evening, there was different entertainment each night and the staff were very friendly. There is also the pool and beach bar for during the day - the pool bar makes amazing coffees as well if you prefer something like an iced latte, with different milks if you can’t have dairy which was a bonus for me. Dimitris worked at the bars and was really friendly and helpful in giving us recommendations for things to do, and he made great cocktails! We went during October, so although the pool and beach were great on sunny days, we did have one cloudy day. The indoor pool was great on this occasion as it meant we still had something to do within the hotel! Overall, we are really impressed and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to travel to Corfu.

I have to say I was very disappointed. The weather was not the best so you could not use the outdoor pool, but on the other hand you could not use the indoor pool because it was way too cold. The entire hotel was very cold. The "Gym" was a joke. Dirty and not-working machines. Also very limited equipment. For the price I expected higher service. And also it is a room everybody walked through to go to the outside pool. Food-wise it was alright, even though the vegetarian and vegan options were very limited. With this in mind the buffet was not very broad. The hotel does not provide free water for the guests. You have to buy it at the nearby shop. Before coming there i was in a hostel that provided free water all day for their guests... for a third of the price...

We have been using this hotel now for many re runs 😊 Personally we choose October The staff are very friendly and make us feel like family The location even though near the runway is stunning with a wonderful view... Sun rise and sunset if you have a room with a sea view From lovely Maria on reception very helpful, professional and friendly. Others too who make the team . Nacer the doorman and luggage man he also is very friendly and helpful and a great first impressions for your arrival . The rooms are clean and the staff are very conscientious to make up the room when you're out Would love to give a special shout out for Antonia who is absolutely brilliant at her job of welcoming you into your dining experience at the hotel. and at making you feel welcome and comfortable. In fact being able to speak fluent English is a definite plus as though we should not expect it it really does help as she has proved by being a great PR .The staff in the restaurant work tirelessly in keeping up with the constant human traffic and very friendly. We mustn't forget George the Keffi barman for his talent at making great cocktails,drinks and encouragement to get on the dancefloor. Yay" keep waving the tea towel 😁 ... I had an amazing stay at Corfu Holiday Palace. As a VIP flight attendant I have stayed in numerous 5 star hotels around the world. This hitel had great sea views from the 7th floor, the staff was very hospitable, amazing breakfast with a big selection of sweet/savory items and a beautiful pool with access to the beach. I would like to extend special thanks to the chef of the main restaurant Ms Athanasia who went the extra mile to provide gluten free bread in order to make a sandwich for my customer on a private jet! This shows real attention to detail for customers and love for someone's work. In addition, many thanks to Ms Maria at the reception for accommodating all the requests of our crew and making our stay more comfortable providing us with a last minute request to have 5 rooms available. Great Greek hospitality as always! We would definitely come back! Thank you :)
