    Ant infestation, salmonella food poisoning
    Unfortunately we haven't had a great holiday experience st the Miramare Side Queen hotel. After a late flight and arriving early hours of Monday morning, after being shown our room we had noticed a small ant problem in the bathroom and the main part of the hotel room. As my wife and daughters were already extremely tired, I spoke to reception to advise of the problem but to come and resolve in the morning. After no contact, i raised this with the hotel again. Shortly after returning to the room, the ant infestation had got significantly worse and we found ants all over the bathroom, tea/coffee station and on the bedding. I went back to the hotel reception and requested a room transfer. The hotel advised this was not possible as they were fully booked but they could come and fumigate the room which we were then not allowed to return for an hour. I advised this was not acceptable and pushed for a room change. The hotel advised they could looking into a room change for the following day but were unable to do anything for Monday night. As I went back to my room, my daughter (who is afraid of insects) was in hysterics when told we would need to remain in the room for at least 1 further evening. We raised this with our Jet2 rep and fortunately they were able to escalate and have us move us to a new room although it was disappointing it required this intervention for this to be done. We hoped this start wouldn't ruin our holiday and for the next couple of days we really enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately, on the Wednesday afternoon I began to feel very unwell with sickness, diarrhoea, and stomach cramps. After having tried to sleep it off for the evening (hoping it was just a bug), both my wife and my daughter had the same symptoms the following day but unfortunately significantly more severe and were both room-bound from Thursday evening until our departure on Sunday evening. This can be verified by the hotel housekeeping staff looking after our block who were unable to make our room but were kind enough to supply us with fresh towels daily. I queried this with guest relations on Friday to see if any other guests had reported an issue, advising we had not consumed any food outside the hotel but unfortunately due to a significant language barrier I think there was a misunderstanding of what I was advising. I noticed another guest in the buffet who appeared to be suffering from stomach cramps and again raised this with guest relations and our Jet2 rep who followed up with the hotel. I had a call Sunday afternoon where the hotel had asked for support from the Miramare Beach hotel guest relations representative (Cathy) who was extremely helpful and the first person who demonstrated some empathy with our situation. Thankfully we managed to make it back to the UK and both my wife and daughter have seen the GP who have conducted tests and confirm salmonella was present in both tests.

    Great location! Good for the price paid.
    This hotel is located perfectly, with the beach less than a 5 min walk away and plenty of shops and places to eat, within walking distance. The hotel is very clean and well.kept. The majority of staff are friendly and welcoming. My friend had an issue with a rude waiter and one of the waitresses didn't seem to appreciate taking our orders, but whatever! As I said, the majority of staff were great. We tipped our fave staff member generously when we left. Our room overlooked the pool and was okay, Noticed a couple of days that the sheets were not changed which was annoying but we told the housekeeper and that was rectified. She didn't seem happy, but that's what we paid for - to have clean sheets! The food...hmm..I've had better but we never went hungry. The food at the snack bar, we preffered over the buffet lunch during the day. The crepes at breakfast were nice. We had a nice meal at the a la carte restaurant, but feel portions could have been a bit larger. Entertainment was okay a couple of nights, the Beyonce impersonation routine were good. You can use the water slides next door at Miramare Beach. The kids loved those. The Beach can get busy but we always managed to find sunbeds, but then we did go later in the day. The sand is soft, not grainy or rough. Lots of German and Russian guests, we only met two other British families during our stay, but it didn't make a difference. We had a great time regardless. Tip: We got our own stainless steel bottles filled up with cocktails at the pool bar, as they'd stay cold for hours and save us going bk n forth!

    Worst hotel ever .
    From entering miramare queen in side my family and myself found the hotel not up to standard the villa had no air con for 10 days we had sewerage flooding room my granddaughter slipping in it and then cat poo inside restaurant manager and jet 2 rep didn't want to know disaster hotel wouldn't advise anybody to go there nobody wanted to help us .

    Amazing hotel close to side antik city
    Super nice hôtel with good quality food and beverage offer . The service quality is perfect ! I woul recommend this hotel for families. Do not forget to visit the Antik city of Side (and museum ) that is an amazing historical testimony.

    Not a family hotel!
    We stayed last year at the Beach hotel, and because we liked it we decided to come back at miramare this time at the Queen Hotel. The food was ok, not as much variety as at the beach hotel but is ok as it is more than enough. The rooms are clean but the walls are made from paper! If someone farts it the next room you can hear it, so imagine other stuff!!! The entertainment team (the ones chatting with the quests and throughout the day have the tshirts with the name on “entertainment team”) is super annoying, I strongly believe they are there for more than having a chat with the guests! The female ones are always men fishing and making it obvious! Shame on the hotel if they make it on purpose such a service! The waiters always making it obvious for the tips! It is frustrating even though you offer it, they ask for more! Furthermore apart for the reception stuff every other stuff will be talking and answering in German! Such unprofessional! I personally believe this is no longer a family hotel!
