TUI BLUE SIDE

Just returned from an amazing stay at the Tui Blue, Side. What amazing staff, friendly and helpful, incredible choice of food, clean and comfortable room, lovely spa facilities..the list goes on! We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough, it’s superb!

Another great holiday at this very special hotel. All of the staff are so professional and very friendly, service is 100 %, the menus are extensive and the food is very good. The entertainment, spa facilities and beach area and Beach Bar are all great . A special thank you to Emin, Yasin and all of the front office staff for all of their help. Superb hotel throughout. Everything about the place was quality. The food, the staff, the entertainment and the decor. We loved the choice of food, so varied and of a high quality. You can eat almost 24 hours per day. Staff were so friendly, always smiling and ready to chat with you. I love it when the bar staff at all the bars remember what you drink and have it ready for you. The entertainment was incredible. We paid over £200 each for tickets to a show in Las Vegas and one of the shows here was every bit as good and it was free. The beer festival was incredible, what an amount of work the entertainment staff put it to this. Plenty of sun beds around the pool and the beach is literally a 2 minute walk away. I honestly couldn’t fault this hotel and even though it was 99% Germans, it was still worth it as the Germans are really friendly.

The hotel was spotlessly clean, looked nice and was very comfortable. We had a small problem on arrival, in that we had paid extra for a sea view room, but the room we were allocated only had a very slight view of the sea, and predominantly looked out at the large pool and waterslides of the next-door hotel. We asked for a different room, and this was dealt with quickly and courteously by the reception team. Our room was serviced daily, with bottled water and chilled soft drinks topped-up in our fridge and the air-con was very effective. The housekeeping team do an excellent job. One thing it is important to note is that this hotel is very much focused on German visitors which was not made clear in the brochure, and if we had known we would have stayed somewhere else. Nothing against German guests (we met some very nice people) but we felt more like we were staying in Germany than Turkey. At breakfast and at a number of evening meal times, we struggled to find food that we wanted to eat in the buffet restaurant, although the a'la carte fish restaurant at the beach was excellent. Most of the hotel service we received was very good, but we did have some isolated examples of poor service (for example, on the last evening our waiter completely ignored us whilst looking after all the other guests around us, and when we politely asked him to clear our table and top-up our drinks he did so without even looking at us - unbelievably rude!). The pool area was very nice, and again kept spotlessly clean by the staff who worked constantly to collect rubbish/empty glasses and mop-up wet footprints from walkways. Sunbeds were good quality and we didn't have a problem finding a spot each day (even though a number of the other guests had reserved beds very early every morning which the hotel did nothing about). We expected a relaxed entertainment programme as this was an adults-only TUI Blue hotel. However, there was extremely loud music until at least 11pm every evening which could be heard everywhere in the hotel, meaning that it was difficult to enjoy a drink and have a conversation on our own. A number of the guests we spoke to also remarked how loud and obtrusive the evening entertainment was. There was also a lot of noise from late night entertainment at adjacent hotels - so this is not a place to go if you want relaxing evenings. The hotel beach itself was lovely (and again, kept in good order by the hotel staff), but the rest of the beach between the hotel and Side resort centre felt quite scruffy, and over-crowded with a high density of very large beachfront hotels. It takes about 90 minutes to walk into Side which is really lovely, but there isn't a continuous promenade, meaning that some of the distance has to be covered by walking on the beach. We did not enjoy the location as we were looking for something quieter, but if you like busy beaches with lots of waterspouts you will love it. Overall, this is a lovely hotel - just not quite to our tastes (hence the 4/5 rating).

This was our 4th visit to TUI Blue Side in 16 months and as with our previous stays it was perfect and such a relaxing holiday. The staff at this hotel is what keeps bringing us back. All staff are lovely and there are too many to name but Ali Sun and Ahmet on reception are excellent and so friendly and helpful. Nazli and Baki are such lovely people too and we love seeing them all when we return. We’re always made to feel special and welcome. Nothing is too much trouble. The facilities are excellent, the hotel is spotless and the food is delicious. The beach is lovely and the chaps who look after the beach do an excellent job. Animation in September was the best it’s ever been. Brilliant entertainment in the evenings. We’re looking forward to our 5th visit soon.
